Henry Thomas, who recently starred in Netflix’s incredible The Haunting of Hill House series, is the latest actor to join the cast of DC’s Stagirl.
According to EW, Thomas will have a recurring guest-star role of Golden Age character Dr. Mid-Nite. Also known as the introspective surgeon Dr. Charles McNider, “Dr. Mid-Nite is a brilliant and forward-thinking medical pioneer, and a founding member of the Jsa. With his trusty owl, he acts as the team’s resident doctor and detective.”
This character previously appeared on CW’s Legends of Tomorrow and was played by Kwesi Ameyaw. This will obviously be a different portrayal of the character. Thomas is a great actor, though, and this is sure to be a fun role for him to take on.
Stargirl centers around Courtney Whitmore, who is played by Brec Bassinger, “a struggling high-schooler who relocates to Blue Valley, Nebraska when her mom gets married.

Although I’ve been historically critical of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s Bill and Ted inspired method of teaming up with historical figures, I can’t deny that the series has been on an upswing in terms of quality in recent weeks. And, from what we can tell, “Camelot/3000” looks to find a nice blend of the established formula and mining DC Comics’ rich mythology.
If anything, fans will want to tune in not only to see the return of the Justice Society of America, who have been scattered throughout time and tasked with protecting fragments of the Spear of Destiny from the Legion of Doom, but also to see the Waverider crew travel to at least two drastically different time periods.

We might have two weeks to wait until Legends of Tomorrow returns, but The CW is making things a bit easier as they’ve now released the first images from the next episode – which you can check out in the gallery above. On this instalment, the team heads back to the time of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table as they look to stop the Legion of Doom from assembling the Spear of Destiny.
Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash needs that to rewrite reality and ensure that Black Flash can’t remove him from the timeline, and joining him is the now villainous Rip Hunter. Reprogrammed by the Legion, the former leader of the Legends is an ally to the evil group and a thorn in the side of the heroes. At least, until they can figure out how to get him back to normal.

I am seriously behind on Fringe, which is unfortunate, because I hear it's getting crazy good. When the show returns on January 14th (see when your other favorite shows return in 2010), the group will be traveling to a small town to solve a mystery there. Fox has released promo photos and a synopsis of the January 14th episode.
The Fringe Team Pursues Leads To Get To The Bottom Of A Small Town Cover-up On An All-new "Fringe" Thursday, January 14, On Fox
Following an unexplained attack involving hideously deformed humans, the Fringe team visits the small town in upstate New York to uncover leads surrounding the bizarre case. When it's determined that these deformed people have managed to hide themselves for a while and they'll do just about anything to keep it that way, the investigation takes an unexpected turn in the all-new "Edina City Limits" episode of Fringe airing Thursday,...

Here's the press release, followed right by some promotional photos for the episode.
