- Her Wings (1990) character Helen Chapel, the cello-playing lunch counter waitress at the airport, was supposed to have been of Greek descent and played by actress Peri Gilpin of Frasier (1993) fame. Gilpin had to decline the role and it was eventually rewritten as a Texas girl to prepare the talents of Crystal.
