- Ernst Gossner is known for South of Pico (2007), The Silent Mountain (2014) and Wem Erzählen (2019).

- Was lucky to get through the shoot of his second feature film The Silent Mountain (2014) after a lightning strike hit the set (nine people were injured), a mud slide pushed an entire battle field set into a nearby river and then his star and protagonist, who is in nearly every scene, got sick.
