Jerry Seinfeld has issued an apology to his “good friend” Howard Stern after telling fellow comics Dana Carvey and David Spade that the self-proclaimed “king of all media” has been “outflanked” by other comedy podcasts, and that the two hosts of the Fly on the Wall podcast are “better than him now.”
Seinfeld, whose directorial debut Unfrosted was released on Netflix last week, was the week’s guest on the May 8 episode of the comedy podcast hosted by Saturday Night Live alum Carvey and Spade. When their topic of conversation moved to the podcast format itself, Seinfeld said longtime talk radio host Stern has been at for years — since 1975 when he started at Boston University’s Wbtu station.
“Howard Stern invented this, right?” Seinfeld said of the format. “But we’re better than him now. Howard is interesting. Howard is a great interviewer, but comedy chops, I mean, can we speak candidly?...

Of anyone living or dead that Dolly Parton would have a “last conversation” with, she chose Elvis Presley. She would love to chat with the King of Rock and Roll to clear up any misunderstandings between them.
Dolly Parton would tell Elvis Presley she was ‘disappointed’ over him not recording her song
Writing in 2021’s The Big Issue’s “Letter To My Younger Self,” Dolly Parton revealed she would love to discuss one element of her career with Elvis Presley. She chose him as her “last conversation” to clear up a feud over one particular song.
Yahoo! Movies UK reports that Parton wanted to clear the air with the King of Rock and Roll. If she were able, she would choose him as the last person she would speak to before her death.

Jerry Seinfeld has apologized to Howard Stern for comments he made about the radio personality in a recent podcast interview, including that Stern lacked “comedy chops.”
“I really feel bad for what I said about my friend Howard Stern in a conversation with David Spade and Dana Carvey, talking about the glut of comedy podcasts,” he told TMZ, referring to his appearance on Carvey and Spade’s “Fly on the Wall” podcast.
While discussing the popularity of podcast culture with Carvey and Spade, Seinfeld asked the two fellow comedians, “Howard Stern invented this, right?”
“But we’re better than him now,” Seinfeld continued. “Howard is interesting. Howard is a great interviewer, but comedy chops, I mean, can we speak candidly?”
Spade said “Sure,” while Carvey said, “No!” as they both laughed. “Well, he got Robin, and Robin is a big part of how he’s funny,” Carvey said of Stern’s co-host Robin Quivers.

Joe Biden sat for an interview with a mainstream, national news outlet, — a not-too-common occurrence. And while the clear intent in his chat with CNN’s Erin Burnett was to show a contrast with Donald Trump on the economy, the headline was what the president said about Israel.
“I made it clear that if they go into Rafah — they haven’t gone into Rafah yet — but if they go into Rafah , I am not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, that deal with the cities, that deal with that problem,” Biden said. “We’re going to continue to make sure Israel is secure in terms of Iron Dome and their ability to respond to attacks… but it’s just wrong. We are not going to supply the weapons and artillery shells that have been used” by the Israelis.

Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei has echoed Live Nation CFO and president Joe Berchtold in arguing against the potential breakup of Live Nation and Ticketmaster as part of a potential lawsuit from the Department of Justice.
“The DOJ investigation appears focused on specific business practices within divisions of the company, not the merger or the business structure. Live doesn’t believe the breakup of Live Nation and Ticketmaster would be a legally defensible remedy,” Maffei told analysts during a morning call on Wednesday. The CEO’s remarks amplified comments by Berchtold during a Live Nation conference call on May 2.
Live Nation is set to hold talks with senior DOJ officials to avoid a potential separation of Live Nation and Ticketmaster. The original Live Nation merger with Ticketmaster that took place in 2010 was approved by the Department of Justice.

Nikki Glaser is giving her take on the viral moment between Tom Brady and Jeff Ross during The Greatest Roast of All Time.
As the roast kicked off on Netflix, Ross mentioned an incident involving Patriots owner Robert Kraft that triggered Brady to get off his seat and tell the “Roastmaster General” not to “say that sh** again.”
Glaser, one of the featured comedians, is now sounding off on that confrontation.
“I believe that was for real,” Glaser said on The Howard Stern Show. “Robert Kraft was not a confirmed guest to be there. I didn’t know he was going to be there until I was there. And I knew everyone else. I was like, ‘Oh my god, Robert Kraft’s here?’ Because I think there was a vibe that Robert Kraft is kind of like a dad figure to Tom, he doesn’t want to sit here and...

Nikki Glaser, one of the standouts from Netflix’s Tom Brady roast, has revealed that she didn’t get to deliver every joke she had planned during the live comedy event.
During an interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show following the roast, the comedian and actress, who earned widespread praise for her set, shared some of the punchlines the audience missed on Sunday night.
“Tom, I love your work — you’ve done on your face,” read one of Glaser’s jokes about the football star’s alleged plastic surgery that she cut. “Seriously, slow down. What is happening with your cheeks? You look like a Ken doll that was microwaved. You love deflating things, stop.”
The FGirl Island star said she also cut a joke about Cte (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy), a progressive degenerative disease affecting many NFL players who have suffered repeated concussions and traumatic brain injuries.

The Roast of Tom Brady got people talking about some of the jokes and jabs that may have crossed the line.
Brady’s event featured an array of roasters, including comedians, friends like Kim Kardashian and Ben Affleck, and former teammates such as Rob Gronkowski.
His former coach, Bill Belichick, also got on stage to roast Brady with some clever lines.
It was a star-studded event that filled Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California, and Patriots owner Robert Kraft even attended to support his friend and former star player.
At one point during the event, a comedian’s joke may have gone too far, though.
Comedian and FBoy Island host Nikki Glazer was among the roasters and shared her thoughts on that particular joke involving Brady and Kraft.

Emily Blunt has kissed many of the world’s most desired film stars in her career, but she has revealed that it’s not always been pleasant.
The British actress, currently starring with Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy, told American radio host Howard Stern that she had found some experiences less than enjoyable.
The Daily Mail reports that when Stern asked her if she’d ever wanted to throw up after kissing an actor, she replied:
“Absolutely, absolutely…I wouldn’t say it’s extreme loathing, but I’ve definitely not enjoyed some of it.
“I think my feeling is I’ve got to find something I love about everybody. I have to find something – even if it’s one thing. It might be like they have a nice laugh or I like how they speak to people, they’re polite. I mean, it might be something random.

Jeffrey Katzenberg is a man known for choosing his words very carefully most of the time, and tonight the WndrCo boss was pretty candid when it came to Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
“I’ve known Donald Trump for 50 years,” Katzenberg told a well-heeled West Hollywood crowd on Sunday of first meeting the former president and 2024 GOP de facto nominee via his father back in the 1970s. “The only thing I can say is he was a colossal asshole then and nothing has really changed.”

Of President Joe Biden’s myriad quips and Dad joke-level zingers at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner — including around the thorny issue of his age and aimed at former President Donald Trump — one joke, in particular, referenced a notable, recent move by his campaign.
Speaking to a crowd of media figures, A-list celebrities and Beltway power brokers who’d just wrapped up their dinner, Biden started serving up one punchline after another. About halfway through his tight 15, the president referred to his recent sitdown with talk radio host Howard Stern.
“I have higher standards,” Biden said from the podium. “I do interviews with strong independent journalists who millions of people actually listen to…like Howard Stern.”
Goofing on Stern’s journalistic credibility landed with the audience, which, despite the spectacle of the star-studded event, is meant to honor the bravery, tenacity and grit of some of the best reporters in the nation.

Tony Pigg, the popular DJ and on-air personality at Wplj-fm and two other New York rock radio stations for more than three decades, has died. He was 85.
Pigg died Friday of natural causes at his home in New York City, his wife of 37 years, Lucinda Scala Quinn, told The Hollywood Reporter.

Richard Quinn was born in Sacramento on April 11, 1939. He studied art with painter Wayne Thiebaud at Sacramento State and served with the U.S. Army before beginning his radio career at an Am station in Winslow, Arizona, and then at Kroy-am in his hometown.

The graveyard of shows that have attempted to bring something resembling the late-night format to streaming is vast.
Even as subscription streaming services have become the de facto leader in producing original television content, late night remains one nut that the likes of Netflix, Apple TV+, and Peacock have failed to crack.
It’s not for lack of talent. Jon Stewart, Chelsea Handler, Michelle Wolf, Hasan Minhaj, Amber Ruffin, and Joel McHale have all taken turns behind the proverbial desk for different streamers, but none have made enough of a dent to stick around for more than a season or two.
Why streamers keep trying is no wonder. Talk shows are inexpensive to produce, and if one were to be genuinely successful, it could help combat the dirtiest of words in streaming: churn.

Audio entertainment giant SiriusXM, the home of Howard Stern, reported on Tuesday that it lost 359,000 self-pay subscribers in its satellite radio unit in the first quarter.
The decline from a year-earlier loss of 347,000 self-pay subs resulted from fewer trial starts in late 2023 and higher first-quarter churn. Paid promotional subscribers during the latest quarter fell by 86,000 customers, compared to a gain of 66,000 subscribers in the category last year.
This added up to an overall first-quarter subscriber drop of 445,000, compared with 281,000 in the same quarter of 2023. SiriusXM, led by CEO Jennifer Witz, also reported self-pay subscribers of its Pandora Plus and Pandora Premium services fell by 64,000 during the first quarter, compared to a year-earlier loss of 7,000 subscribers.
During a morning analyst call, Witz conceded the launch of the new SiriusXM streaming app for some longtime customers had been “disruptive,” but added innovation to reach younger subscribers beyond cars was growing. “Our early...

President Joe Biden revealed his willingness to debate with Donald Trump in a recent interview with radio host Howard Stern.
Although he did not provide a specific timeline for the potential debate, it marks the first time in this election cycle that Biden indicated his openness to such an event. When asked about debating his 2024 opponent, Biden responded, “I am somewhere… I’m happy to debate him.”
Following this remark on Stern’s Sirius/Xm show, Trump’s campaign manager, Chris Lacivita, responded on social media, “Ok, let’s set it up!”
While Trump chose not to participate in any of the four Republican National Committee-sanctioned primary election debates in 2024 and withdrew from one of the three debates with Biden in 2020, he has advocated for Biden’s involvement in the three general debates scheduled for this autumn.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have, in less than 15 years, established themselves as the most exciting composers working in contemporary film.
Their first score was David Fincher’s masterpiece “The Social Network.” The score was a haunting, atmospheric triumph, and it won them Oscars, an even more impressive feat given the Academy’s historic anti-rock band bias. And what began as an exclusive collaboration with Fincher soon blossomed outward – they have worked with Pixar and Ken Burns, scored a prestige TV version of Alan Moore’s “Watchmen,” and an animated “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie. They can do it all, while remaining uniquely them.
They are unstoppable, too. This week “Challengers,” from Luca Guadagnino, is released alongside their soundtrack album. And they have a pair of scores still coming this year – for the big-budget Apple movie “The Gorge” and for Guadagnino’s “Queer,” starring Daniel Craig.

Biden sat down with Stern at his midtown Manhattan studio for a live interview.
The hourlong interview did yield some news. When Stern said that he wanted Biden to debate Donald Trump, Biden said, “I am, somewhere, I don’t know when but I am happy to debate him.”
Trump co-campaign manager Chris Lacivita quickly shot back, “Ok, let’s set it up!”

At least one televised presidential debate might happen this election year after all.
President Joe Biden told radio host Howard Stern on Friday he’d be “happy to” debate former president Donald Trump.
“I am somewhere,” Biden replied when asked if he would debate Trump during this election cycle. “I don’t know when. I’m happy to debate him.”
The comments represent a shift from Biden and his communications team’s previous hedging statements about the issue, which have led many to assume there simply wasn’t going to be a debate in the run-up to the November general election.
Trump’s campaign adviser Chris Lacivita quickly replied on X, “Ok, let’s set it up!”
Earlier this month, a dozen news organizations wrote an open letter urging Biden and Trump “to publicly commit to participating in general election debates before November’s election. … If there is one thing...

Brendan Fraser is easily one of the greatest actors in the adventure genre. His battle against the dead in “The Mummy” series needs no introduction. The actor has had a well-documented Hollywood comeback in recent years. After a period of personal and professional setbacks, he has returned to the spotlight with critically acclaimed movies like”The Whale”.
Brendan Fraser in the Mummy
Fraser’s career has been a testament to his versatility, but there was a time when his passion for a particular role burned so brightly, that it led him to make an offer that was both hilarious and undeniably endearing.

After weeks of hesitation, President Joe Biden said on Friday that he would be “happy” to debate his de facto 2024 rival Donald Trump ahead of the November election.
During an interview with longtime radio giant Howard Stern, Biden was asked if he planned to once again debate Trump in their rematch.
“I am, somewhere, I don’t know when but I am happy to debate him,” Biden responded.
Immediately after the interview aired, Trump adviser Chris Lacivita responded on X, formerly Twitter. “Ok let’s set it up!” he wrote.

Pearl Jam appeared The Howard Stern Show this week, where they not only shared fascinating stories — like how drummer Matt Cameron once got a cease-and-desist letter from Kiss — but also performed a number of songs, including tracks from their new album Dark Matter and older hits like “Daughter” and “Yellow Ledbetter.”
The appearance was in support of the band’s 12th LP, Dark Matter, which debuted last week on April 19th and has earned praise from many, including Stem himself, who called it “a phenomenal fucking album.” When asked to perform a track from the record, Pearl Jam chose the opener, “Scared of Fear,” delivering the song’s heavy feel with uproarious energy.

Coachella cleared out of Indio, California’s Empire Polo Fields, after two music-filled weekends so that the country festival Stagecoach could take over the grounds. The bill for this weekend’s event is stacked with generation-spanning performers, but two in particular seem to be cooking something up for the occasion. Just before opening night, Post Malone shared a snippet teaser of a potential collaboration with Morgan Wallen. Both artists are scheduled to appear at Stagecoach on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Last week, Quentin Tarantino shocked the entertainment industry by ashcanning what was to have been his 10th film, “The Movie Critic.” The two-time Oscar-winner and highly influential auteur has yet to publicly comment on why this has all gone down, but the snoops at The Hollywood Reporter have dug up some details.
For starters, there’s ample evidence of Tarantino developing something and then pulling the plug in the past. You can look at the Wikipedia entry for the man’s unrealized projects and do a whole lot of imagining. It’s just rare that something gets this far along in the process—production was due to start at the end of this year, and a tax deal had already been set up with the California Film Commission. Although no distributor was officially on board, there was an understanding that Tarantino would work again with Sony, after the successful collaboration...

Taylor Swift recently dropped the music video for her unlikely collaboration with Post Malone, and listeners can’t get enough of it. On paper, these two don’t exactly mesh, yet somehow, they found a way to blend their styles in the new song, called Fortnight. What else do we know about their friendship outside of the studio?

Taylor Swift and Post Malone Were in the ‘Tortured Poets Department’ Together Way Before ‘Fortnight’
Throughout her career, Taylor Swift has landed 232 songs on the Billboard Hot 100. Included in that are the 49 songs that broke into the Top 10. Within that, 11 topped the chart. Despite having an inescapable presence in pop for over a decade, there’s one artist’s record in particular that sparked envy in her. “‘Better Now’ is so insane,” she told Post Malone when she passed him backstage at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. “I’m so jealous of that song — that hook.” Last year, in an interview with Howard Stern, Malone recalled the interaction,...

Quentin Tarantino is going back to the drawing board for what will be his 10th and final film. Tarantino is stepping away from “The Movie Critic” as his 10th feature and will no longer be making it, IndieWire has confirmed.
The news is a major shock, as the project had Brad Pitt in talks for the lead role and even rumors that Sony was circling the project to release it after previously releasing his prior film, 2019’s “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood.” The film even secured a California tax credit to shoot in Los Angeles and was meant to begin shooting earlier this year, but was delayed due to Tarantino reportedly rewriting his script.
But a source says Tarantino has now had a change of heart and moved on from the film entirely. It’s now unclear what he intends for his next film, presumably still meant to be his last.

The Movie Critic was set to be the tenth and final film from Quentin Tarantino, but according to Deadline, the director has decided to scrap the movie and start from scratch. That’s some shocking news.
It was expected that production on The Movie Critic would have gotten underway later this year, but the report states that Tarantino had recently rewritten the script, which caused a delay. This gave him time to think about what he truly wanted to be his final work, and apparently, that’s not The Movie Critic. Deadline said that Tarantino “simply changed his mind.“

After the death of former NFL star and actor O.J. Simpson from prostate cancer this week, an interview with former President Donald Trump and Howard Stern from July 2008 has resurfaced.
In 2008, Simpson had long been known for his infamous trial for the murders of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1994. Simpson was acquitted of the murders despite physical evidence linking him to the scene.
By the time Stern interviewed Trump, Simpson had also been arrested for robbery and kidnapping and later sentenced to nine years in prison.
“NBC went totally crazy when I wanted to put Oj on The Apprentice,” Trump told Stern.
When Stern asked why he wanted Simpson, Trump responded, “Well, you know, in your business, there’s a thing called ratings. I know this: If I put Oj on, I get huge ratings.”
When Stern asked if Trump spoke to Simpson about the idea, Trump’s answer was unclear.

Actor John Goodman, 71, known for Roseanne and The Big Lebowski, was spotted with a slimmed-down figure at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. Goodman was with his wife, Anna Beth Goodman this weekend. Goodman has lost a remarkable 200 pounds over the last few years.
Goodman wore khaki pants and a dark green sweatshirt over a blue shirt, while his wife wore a white blouse with dark pants and white sneakers.
Since 2007, Goodman has been working on his health after quitting drinking. The actor worked with a fitness trainer to build an exercise routine and reshape his diet. It was said that Goodman took on a “Mediterranean-style eating plan,” incorporating fish, nuts, olive oil, vegetables and fruits.
Goodman’s exercise routine consisted of working out six days a week, aiming to take 10,000 to 12,000 steps daily with a treadmill or elliptical bicycle.

For many actors, using grief to their advantage on screen is a well-trod path; however, pretending to be grieving is a whole other story. Method acting has long been seen as a demanding and occasionally contentious way of producing real performances on screen. However, revelations about Aaron Eckhart’s extreme methods to get into character for his role in 2010’s Rabbit Hole have caused a few to gasp and sparked a fresh discussion about the limits of method acting.
The actor attended a support group for parents who had lost their child and even staged his own child’s death in order to prepare for his role. Well, in the past, we’ve heard stories of actors going to great lengths to immerse themselves in their roles, from drastic weight loss to being cut off from the outside world.
But Jared Leto’s tale was nothing short of a nightmare.

Considering how many serious injuries the Jackass cast members have suffered over the years, one would think that even before Jackass Forever, they had reached the limit of their willingness to pull off dangerous stunts. Jackass Forever is the fourth movie in Jeff Tremaine’s reality comedy film series, which came after Jackass 3D (2010).
However, the filming process was interrupted by some of the ludicrous, and risky stunts that resulted in injuries to the main character of the franchise. Indeed, Johnny Knoxville earlier talked about the major bull stunt that caused him to suffer brain damage and has revealed whether or not he regrets being a part of such a risky act.

If one thinks of pop music and its influence in the world, it is difficult to look past an artist like Madonna. In many ways, the iconic singer was a pioneer in the genre and is associated with some of the most evergreen songs that have become cult classics over the years. In addition to her charismatic personality, Madonna has also had a colorful personal life when it comes to her various romances.

The Vogue crooner has been married to A-list Hollywood celebrities like Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie, and has also been involved in a short relationship with Warren Beatty with whom she co-starred with in Dick Tracy. While the pop star was pretty open and candid when talking about Beatty in The Howard Stern Show, she refrained from getting too personal when pushed to comment on her s*x life with the actor.

Madonna made headlines 30 years ago when she dropped the F-bomb 14 times (including her description of host David Letterman as a “sick f—k”), made sexual innuendos, and refused to get off the stage during her Late Show appearance on March 31, 1994. While living with Sean “Diddy” Combs, R&b pop star Usher said that he “went there to see the lifestyle — and I saw it.”
After raids on Combs’ homes earlier this month, an interview from 2016 with Usher and Howard Stern on The Howard Stern Show has resurfaced.
In the interview, Usher speaks on the year that he spent living with Combs. He was 13 years old at the time.
Combs was the founder of Bad Boys Records and there have been claims of “very curious things” had happened at his L.A. and Miami residences over the years.
On March 25, law enforcement including Homeland Security and federal agents raided his homes after two lawsuits against him made sex-trafficking allegations.
In 2016, Usher commented on his time with Diddy saying it was “pretty crazy” and that he didn’t, “know if I could indulge and understand what I was even looking at. It was pretty wild.
