Nikki Reed was fresh off her long press weekend supporting New Moon but got dressed up last night to pose with costar Anna Kendrick at MovieLine's Behind the Camera Awards in La. They joined adorable couple Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, who's back to focusing on film after her fashion-related party earlier in the week. Nikki and Anna were on hand to honor their special effects editor Susan MacLeod, and Diane came out on behalf of Inglourious Basterds producer Lawrence Bender. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, meanwhile, presented their (500) Days of Summer screenwriters with statues. The event was designed to honor those who labor behind the scenes, but the well-dressed ladies couldn't help but take a little bit of the spotlight. Last night's Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards ceremony was as packed with meta-literal moments as it was with unabashed enthusiasm for the cinema. Onscreen talents such as Jason Bateman, Bill Paxton and Diane Kruger mounted the Highlands stage to thank their behind-the-camera colleagues, who then jumped in front of our cameras to accept their awards. But the most meta moment was claimed when Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt honored screenwriters Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber by ditching their presenter script to improv how 500 Days of Summer would have looked without Neustadter and Weber's screenplay. »

There hasn't been much word regarding Simon Pegg's newest film, Paul, about two British slackers who decide to go to Area 51 in search of aliens after a trip to Comic-Con only to discover an actual alien. There's been one still released, which doesn't really show very much, and actor Jason Bateman talked about getting a gift from his Paul co-stars, but that's about it.
Apparently, even Pegg is aware of the lack of news, because he recently offered an update to his fans in the forum of his web-site.
Hi all
Thought you might like to hear how things are going on the Paul front. It's been a while since we wrapped now and with the absence of Lance B's video blogs, I guess things must seem to have gone very quiet. Rest assured the good (space)ship Paul is progressing apace. *Until they actually make the movie
Forget Scientology or Heaven's Gate. Today, the biggest cult in our country may very well be the teeming masses anxiously awaiting the return of "Arrested Development." After years of rumors and dashed hopes, it seems the beloved TV show will finally, for real, this time, be reincarnated on the big screen.
But don't break out your Cornballers yet: the film isn't set to hit theaters until 2011. How will you last that long? While you can treasure your DVD collection of all three seasons (or, for that matter, catch re-airs on IFC), you'll probably want to vary things up in the year-plus before we get sweet relief. Off the top of your head, you might know to watch Michael Cera in "Juno," but where can you find Judy Greer in a role as crazy as Kitty Sanchez? Will Arnett as a man as bumbling and self-involved as Gob? »

We all love Bond girls and we all love Jennifer Aniston. Sounds like a match made in heaven until one realizes that, whoa, Bond girls should be exotic, dangerous and reeking of sex. I don’t know about you, but Jennifer Aniston is a lot of things but smelling like sex is not one of them. She’s more of the “hot neighbor girl” kind of like Kaley Cuoco on CBS’ The Big Bang Theory.
Bond girl rumors spread almost as fast as villains for a third Batman and we have heard the same names over and over just like you. Angelina Jolie, Slumdog Millionaire’s Freida Pinto and even Salma Hayek, but the Jennifer Aniston rumor is a persistent one.
In March the former Friends star was asked by Elle magazine if she would have any interest in becoming a Bond girl in the next installment. The answer may »

I don't know about you, but I love Nicolas Cage. Yes, yes, he may have done a few stinkers, but who hasn't? Jason Bateman did Teen Wolf Too and I don't see anyone hating on him! So why all the hate for the Cagemeister? Is he over the top? Yes! He is wonderfully over the top, and I am loving it! He is one of the few actors, that I think does over the top well, yet the hate he gets for it is substantial. Anyway, for the haters of The Cage, the new teaser trailer for his upcoming feature Season of the Witch, will probably make them shit themselves in joy, as they'll have a new film to bitch and moan about. For the rest of us, we get a taste of a new Cage-flick that actually looks like it could be alright, though it's still to early to know for certain. »

Daddy duty can be tough! Barely able to keep his eyes open during a recent visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, a sleep-deprived Jason Bateman admitted that the morning routine with daughter Francesca Nora, 3 this month, has been anything but mundane. “My daughter didn’t have a great night sleep last night — she’s got a phlegmy thing that kept her up — so I’m a little bit tired,” he began.
After dropping off baby girl at preschool, Jason headed back home to squeeze in some much-needed exercise, only to hear his cell phone chirp seconds before warming up. »
