Paul Reubens has landed a role on ABC's "Once Upon A Time" spinoff.
According to Deadline, Reubens -- best known for his role as Pee Wee Herman -- will voice the White Rabbit in the "Alice In Wonderland"-themed spinoff, titled "Once Upon A Time In Wonderland."
Reubens joins Sophie Lowe (Alice), Peter Gadiot (Alice's love interest Cyrus), Michael Socha (Knave Of Hearts) and Emma Rigby (The Red Queen).
With the "Once Upon A Time" spinoff pilot set in Wonderland before and after Regina's (Lana Parrilla) curse, fans should expect to see a familiar face. “We can’t imagine visiting that time in Wonderland and not seeing Cora as the Queen of Hearts," "Once Upon a Time" co-creator Adam Horowitz told TVLine.
The "Once Upon A Time" spinoff begins production in April and will likely air during "Once Upon A Time's" winter hiatus.

While the folks at ABC are pretty late! (late!) in finally creating an Alice-centric Once Upon A Time spinoff, the announcement that Paul Reubens will voice the White Rabbit in the pilot presentation of Once Upon A Time In Wonderland is ironically punctual, seeing as production is set to start in two days. The Rabbit himself will be a CGI creation, as opposed to a “Pee-Wee as the White Rabbit” kind of deal, which is unfortunate, because some novelty casting would probably enliven what otherwise sounds like yet another dark, “edgy” retelling of Alice In Wonderland. This new version takes »

Have you ever pictured the White Rabbit of "Alice in Wonderland" fame as having a Pee-Wee Herman voice?
Considering that the potential "Once Upon a Time" spinoff, "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland," has just cast Paul Reubens as the voice of its White Rabbit character, the Pee-Wee connection may soon become easy.
As first reported by Deadline.com, Reubens will provide the voice for the iconic character. The rabbit itself will be created using CG animation, as will many other characters in the show. Which voice Reubens -- most famous for the character, Pee-Wee Herman -- will use for the bunny is a mystery. Ralph Hemecker, a frequent director of "Once Upon a Time" episodes, is set direct the pilot from "Once" executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.
"Wonderland" will, assuming the pilot moves forward, take viewers to the pre-curse fantasy world by that name. Alice (Sophie Lowe »

Sequels are awesome, plain and simple. Returning to familiar characters and worlds we love is like covering yourself with a warm blanket, although when a sequel is bad it can be like a blanket covered in potato bugs and lice. Studios love sequels because seven times out of ten they open huge, no matter how good they are.
With that in mind, here's 50 of your favorite titles all preparing to get new installments. Some of them are deep into pre-production while others have barely gotten out of the pitch stages, but you'll be salivating at the thought of some of these sweet babies finally making their way to the screen.

In the aftermath of The Avengers, isn't the underrated 1999 superhero movie Mystery Men worth reassessing?
In 1999, between the body blow of Batman And Robin and the kiss of life that was X-Men, the superhero movie was temporarily revived by a loose adaptation of the Flaming Carrot Comics. It was called Mystery Men.
It was panned, lost a lot of money, and years later the lead actor announced that it had been a terrible movie and he was ashamed of it. All of this suggests that it should be pushed under the carpet and left to rot, but there are so many great things about Mystery Men that it really doesn’t deserve that fate, no matter what Ben Stiller says about it.
To start with the plot - at heart, Mystery Men is a film about all pulling together. It’s not a novel »

Certainly his casts have included names you recognize, including Dakota Fanning, Richard Dreyfus, Teri Hatcher, Ian McShane, Keith David, David Thewlis, Chris Sarandon and Paul Reubens, they were assigned their parts because they were the right performers needed for their roles.
