Match #1: Nxt Women’s Champion Triple Threat Match – Roxanne Perez def. Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Nxt Women’s Championship remains with “The Prodigy” Roxanne Perez as the champion retained her title in impressive fashion against both Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley in a Triple Threat Match. The bad blood between former friends Valkyria and Paxley sparked a major battle between the two to begin the match, all while the champion looked on and smiled. Once Perez entered the fray, the action became chaotic as all three Superstars threw caution to the wind, punctuated by the demented Paxley tossing both of her opponents hard to the ringside area.

New showrunners Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige have done a superlative job of turning up the heat on the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff. We know the allegations are connected to sexual assault and the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms. But many are still curious about Diddy’s home and details of the raid. Here’s what we know:

Sean Combs, aka Diddy, owns property on South Florida’s ultra-exclusive Star Island, an appropriately named man-made island in Miami. Star Island is accessible only by boat or a single bridge yet it’s only a quick drive to the airport — ideal for A-list celebrities and wealthy moguls. I have been a fan of director Jeremy Saulnier’s work ever since his feature debut Murder Party was given a home video release back in 2007, and it has been great to watch his career progress through Blue Ruin, Green Room, Hold the Dark, and episodes of True Detective season 3. Anything he does will have my attention, so I was excited when another Saulnier film called Rebel Ridge was announced back in 2019. Unfortunately, we still haven’t seen Rebel Ridge because the Netflix production was delayed by the pandemic lockdowns, then by the departure of lead actor John Boyega a few weeks into filming, reportedly due to “family reasons.” Saulnier did eventually manage to make the movie, though, and he talked about the troubled production during a recent interview with Film Stories.

Jeremy Saulnier’s thriller Rebel Ridge was disrupted by the pandemic and the sudden departure of John Boyega. He talks exclusively to us about its “tumultuous” production.
With such taut, superbly-shot thrillers as Blue Ruin and Green Ruin to his name, interest has been high in writer-director Jeremy Saulnier’s next film, Rebel Ridge. Bankrolled by Netflix and originally due to begin filming in April 2020, however, its production was beset by problems, including a pandemic-induced delay and the sudden departure of its star, John Boyega.
Speaking exclusively to Film Stories, Jeremy Saulnier – who’s promoting a new home release of his 2015 thriller, Green Room – described the making of Rebel Ridge as “tumultuous.”
“We came back three years in a row to make that movie,” he adds.
After Covid-19 saw Rebel Ridge’s production delayed in 2020, filming commenced in Louisiana the following spring, with Don Johnson, James Badge Dale, James Cromwell...

Today, Dakota Johnson is one of the most popular superstars in Hollywood. Despite having a father who was an actor, Johnson got no support and initially had to struggle to make ends meet. The actress once explained that her father, actor Don Johnson, stopped giving her allowance when she told him she wanted to become an actor.
In the past, Don Johnson has revealed that they had a rule in the family: You get allowance only if you got to college. Since Dakota Johnson had no college plans and dropped everything for acting, she was no longer eligible for an allowance.
Dakota Johnson in Am I Ok?
With some modeling jobs, Johnson was able to pay her rent but on some days, the actress had no money for groceries and had to ask her mother, Melanie Griffith, for money. Eventually, she bagged bigger opportunities and successfully managed to establish herself as a talented actress.

It sounds like a dream come true to be a working actor and then get the opportunity to be in your favorite show. Comedian Bill Burr told stories in the past about being such a big fan of Breaking Bad when he got to have a little stint on it. Rashida Jones would also share that she was a huge fan of The Office when she got the part to play Jim’s girlfriend. For Dakota Johnson, it would turn out to become a dream-turned-nightmare when she also got to appear on the popular NBC sitcom, The Office. Johnson appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers recently to promote her upcoming Sony/Marvel film, Madame Web, when she revealed that her experience on The Office was more surreal.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, on the talk show, Johnson joked, “That was honestly the worst time of my life. They were like,...

Dakota Johnson has just a few more days of press before Sony’s “Madame Web” arrives in theaters, but until then she’s speaking her mind.
Speaking with French outlet L’Officiel, Johnson talked about how her independent two-hander “Daddio,” co-starring Sean Penn, took far too long to find a distributor after its Telluride debut last fall. (The film eventually landed a release deal with Sony Pictures Classics and is due out in theaters this year.)
“People are just so afraid, and I’m like, ‘Why? What’s going to happen if you do something brave?’ It just feels like nobody knows what to do and everyone’s afraid. That’s what it feels like. Everyone who makes decisions is afraid. They want to do the safe thing and the safe thing is really boring,” she said, clearly with little love for decision-making executives in Hollywood.

Dakota Johnson sounded off on the industry in a new interview with L’Officiel ahead of the release of her superhero tentpole “Madame Web.” The actor reflected on bringing her indie drama “Daddio” to a film festival last year, where she says it took a whole lot of effort to get it sold despite it starring her and Oscar winner Sean Penn in the lead roles.
“We made a movie called ‘Daddio‘ that was sold at Telluride to Sony Classics, which was amazing, but it took a lot of fighting to get that made,” Johnson said. “People are just so afraid, and I’m like, ‘Why? Mark Consuelos did not want to permanently co-host with his wife, Kelly Ripa, on their show, Live with Kelly and Mark, if it would hurt their marriage.
As previously reported on Monsters and Critics, Mark was very vocal about that before he agreed last April when Ryan Seacrest left the show.
Recent updates from Kelly and Mark during their show make it seem like they are growing apart in their married life.
Kelly just turned down a trip to the ever-romantic Italy with Mark over the weekend, and today, during the host chat, she told him, “You suck the life out of me.”
They talked about how well they sleep when Kelly revealed she sleeps much better when Mark is away.
And later in the same show, Kelly shared even more upsetting news with their guest in that segment, Dakota Johnson.

Exclusive: LA-based financier CaliWood Pictures has invested in Nadine de Barros’ international sales firm Fortitude ahead of the EFM market in Berlin.
The terms of the investment were not disclosed but we understand de Barros will maintain control over company direction. The backing is designed to grow Fortitude’s production and finance capabilities and provide opportunities for both outfits.
The two companies previously collaborated on Mack and Rita, starring Diane Keaton, as well as A Little White Lie, with Kate Hudson, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, and Zach Braff. They’re now prepping a slate of undisclosed projects together with the first being lined up to shoot this year.
CaliWood’s investments to date have included A Nice Girl Like You with Lucy Hale, Michael Shannon’s directorial debut, Eric Larue, with Alexander Skarsgard and Judy Greer. The company recently made last-position equity investments in Goodrich, with Mila Kunis and Michael Keaton,...

It all starts with Dakota Johnson doing the familiar drop-by to the Please Don’t Destroy offices.
Things go downhill from there, as Johnson and the boys trade cutting remarks.
“I’ve seen all your videos,” Johnson tells the trio. “They’re really…not for me.”
“Not how i expected you to come in here,” Ben Marshall responds. “Must be that dry sense of humor.”
In the end, the group (at least most of them) bond over their status as Nepo babies.
John Higgins’ father is Steve Higgins, longtime SNL writer and current announcer for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Martin Herlihy’s father, Tim Herlihy, was also an SNL writer who co-wrote Happy Gilmore with Adam Sandler.
Johnson’s father, of course, is actor Don Johnson.
Ben Marshall’s parents are not famous, which results in one last moment of disrespect for him. Watch the video to see.

Even in a hit-or-miss "Saturday Night Live" episode, you can always count on the "Please Don't Destroy" guys to deliver a digital short that is decent at the very least. Such was the case with "Roast," a short where Dakota Johnson walks into the Pdd office and inexplicably starts roasting all three of the guys. She has some plausible deniability during the first two or three digs, but the moment she calls them "The Lonelier Island" — a reference to SNL's original digital short comedy trio whom the Pdd guys still live in the shadow of — the gloves come off.
"I've always wanted to meet the star of 'Madame Web.' Can you introduce me to Sydney Sweeney?" John asks. Things escalate further until Martin makes a joke about nobody wanting to see her movie "Daddio," and Johnson replies, "Is Daddio who you call to get your job?" It's...

Please Don’t Destroy served up a good ol’ roast battle on this week’s Saturday Night Live, and it turns out that guest host Dakota Johnson can give as good as she gets.
Johnson kicks off the festivities by telling the Pdd boys (Ben Marshall, John Higgins, Martin Herlihy) that she’s seen all of their videos and they’re… “not for me.” She then swats down their sketch ideas before calling them “The Lonelier Island,” referring to that other three-man sketch troupe responsible for some of the biggest viral hits of the last 20 years.

During Dakota Johnson’s Saturday Night Live monologue, she acknowledged that she just can’t take “interviews seriously” while promoting her films.
The actress, who stars in the upcoming Marvel movie Madame Web, alongside Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced and Celeste O’Connor, has been doing a lot of press interviews for the film and realized, “I’m just not good at talking to journalists.”
“I think the big problem is that I say stuff and then they write it down and, and it’s really unfair because most of the time I’m joking,” she quipped.
But Johnson said she’s been that way for a long time, even when she was younger. She proceeded to show a video of herself on a red carpet in the ’90s with her father, actor Don Johnson, as a child. In the footage, she can be seen rolling her eyes.

Justin Timberlake & Jimmy Fallon Crash Dakota Johnson’s ‘SNL’ Monologue; Taylor Swift Gets Shout-out
Dakota Johnson had some company during her Saturday Night Live hosting gig as Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon crashed the monologue tonight.

Johnson highlighted that Donald Trump was sitting right behind her, adding, “It’s just crazy standing so close to someone that would become the most powerful person in America,” but actually referring to Taylor Swift, who was sitting in front of her.

Starting with 1981’s Thief — the opening moments of which feature James Caan’s tough guy ex-con Frank driving a Cadillac Eldorado through the rain-soaked Chicago streets at night — cars have always played an indelible role in Michael Mann’s films, establishing the tone and acting as framing devices for his characters and a way into their psyche.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mann spoke about the prominent role that cars have played in his movies over his four-decade career. The reason? “It’s not cars because I like cars,” he notes. It’s about adding a certain subtext to a character’s motivation and Mann’s influence — the way he literally changed the visual poetics of cars on film — dates back to Thief, his first feature.

In the most important scene of the first season of The Sopranos — arguably the most important scene of television of the last 25 years, if not much longer — Mob boss Tony Soprano stalks and murders Febby Petrulio, a former wiseguy who testified against friends of Tony’s and then went into hiding.
What would have happened, I asked Sopranos creator David Chase recently, if he had pitched the same idea 25 years before that, back when he was a young writer on The Rockford Files, a hit NBC drama starring James Garner as a wisecracking private detective?...

One of the great things about working for JoBlo is that, over the years, I’ve had the pleasure to speak with some of my heroes. Being a child of the eighties, I tend to be most fascinated by the people I grew up watching. So, speaking to Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson and the great Don Johnson have consistently ranked with my fondest moments here with the site. Of course, one of the guys I’ve always wanted to talk to was the great Pierce Brosnan.
Given that I’m the guy behind James Bond Revisited, one could easily imagine why he was a bucket list interview of mine. However, beyond his work as 007, I’m still a fan, particularly of his movie The Matador, one of my favorites. Pierce has a new film out the week called Fast Charlie, which features him once again playing a hitman who’s...
