Across the Spider-verse is a lot of movie, it feels like two movies had their first two acts removed and woven together. While there are arcs in the film, the two main plot threads are unresolved. Maybe Beyond the Spider-verse will remedy this issue, but it does leave Across feeling like less than a complete film. - DirectorMichael B. JordanStarsMichael B. There is a formula for the Creed/Rocky films and Creed III follows it, almost to a fault. But, Creed III does find an organic way to bring in a new antagonist who injects new conflicts into existing characters. While there is some dialog about addressing conflict and trauma, the film doesn't fully express its view and tie it into its climax. - DirectorMatt SmuklerStarsAlexandra DaddarioJean SmartKiernan ShipkaA girl navigates life with two intellectually-disabled parents and an extended family that can't quite agree on the best way to help.Overall: 6/10

A fairly light-hearted coming of age story that is able to inject enough unique elements to make it more interesting than others in the genre. - DirectorTina SatterStarsSydney SweeneyJosh HamiltonMarchánt DavisA former American intelligence specialist was given the longest sentence for the unauthorized release of government information to the media about Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections via an email operation.Overall: 6/10

Reality is an interesting idea for a film, but basing all of the dialog on a real event keeps it from becoming more than a decent reenactment of the event on which it is based. While Sydney Sweeney gives a great, subtle performance, it's not enough to elevate the film. - DirectorJames GunnStarsChris PrattChukwudi IwujiBradley CooperStill reeling from the loss of Gamora, Peter Quill rallies his team to defend the universe and one of their own - a mission that could mean the end of the Guardians if not successful.Overall: 6/10

GotG vol 3 had a lot of potential, but focused on everything but the overall story of the film. Every character had their 'moment', earned or otherwise. - DirectorDavid F. A lot of stuff happens in Fury of the Gods, but it doesn't really mean much because the characters don't really change over the course of the film. - DirectorPeyton ReedStarsPaul RuddEvangeline LillyMichael DouglasScott Lang and Hope Van Dyne are dragged into the Quantum Realm, along with Hope's parents and Scott's daughter Cassie. Quantumania exemplifies unfulfilled potential constantly falling back on tropes rather than using its various, potentially interesting characters to drive the story. The film also looks overwhelmingly dull despite a wide range of creature designs. - DirectorJohn Francis DaleyJonathan GoldsteinStarsChris PineMichelle RodriguezRegé-Jean PageA charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers embark on an epic quest to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.Overall: 5.2/10
