AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D SEASON 1 RATINGS
I really regret not watching this show for so much long, since the second half of the season is exactly what an MCU series connected with the movies should be
Of course my favourite character is Coulson, C.Gregg is amazing in the role, he is kind, extremely likable, loyal and, since now he is the lead, he gets the chance to be more tough, bad-ass and commanding. I also loved Melinda May from her first scene in the pilot, the actress was perfectly casted and she managed to uplift a lot of the material for the character, she is everything a strong and at the same time believable regular female character should be.
Even though at first I rejected Ward, Fitz-Simmons and especially Skye as one-dimensional cliches, I honestly couldn't be more wrong, these characters became so much more deep and compelling with each episode that you can't help but fall in love with all of them and the respective actors show great range and ability
In addition we learn a ton about Shield and how it operates, as well as meeting all it's core members (The highlight of course being Garrett, portrayed superbly by the late B.Paxton). Some other faces from the MCU make guest appearances. The writing is decent to good in the first half and spectacular in the second one, a courtesy of the Whedon family. I don't consider spoiler to tell you that things become crazy after the revelation that Hydra has infiltrated Shield and Hydra's resurface (depicted in the amazing Cap.America: The Winter Soldier), the twists, the action scenes, the interactions and the overall awesomeness after that are outstanding!!!
Overall rating: 9.1/10
