- DirectorIrvin KershnerStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherAfter the Rebel Alliance are overpowered by the Empire, Luke Skywalker begins his Jedi training with Yoda, while his friends are pursued across the galaxy by Darth Vader and bounty hunter Boba Fett.Brilliant. The combined genius of Lucas & Kirschner serve up the best Star Wars movie ever made.
- DirectorGeorge LucasStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherLuke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a Wookiee and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire's world-destroying battle station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the mysterious Darth Vader. The movie that started it all. The vision of George Lucas brought to the silver screen for the first time. Wonderful.
- DirectorRichard MarquandStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherAfter rescuing Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt, the Rebel Alliance attempt to destroy the second Death Star, while Luke struggles to help Darth Vader back from the dark side.Doesn't quite match the brilliance of IV & V, but a fantastic conclusion to an epic saga. Excellent.
- DirectorGeorge LucasStarsHayden ChristensenNatalie PortmanEwan McGregorThree years into the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi pursues a new threat, while Anakin Skywalker is lured by Chancellor Palpatine into a sinister plot to rule the galaxy. The best of the prequels by a mile. All the threads meet, a well told story with fabulous (but over the top at times) visuals. Ian McDiarmid's performance makes this movie. Fantastic.
- DirectorGeorge LucasStarsEwan McGregorLiam NeesonNatalie PortmanTwo Jedi escape a hostile blockade to find allies and come across a young boy who may bring balance to the Force, but the long dormant Sith resurface to claim their original glory.Promising opening scenes, great lightsaber action. Darth Maul was awesome but a wasted opportunity. Style over content, some good stuff in here but should have been better.
- DirectorGeorge LucasStarsHayden ChristensenNatalie PortmanEwan McGregorTen years after initially meeting, Anakin Skywalker shares a forbidden romance with Padmé Amidala, while Obi-Wan Kenobi discovers a secret clone army crafted for the Jedi. The worst prequel, but has saving graces that elevate it above Disney. Epic Obi-Wan action, Christopher Lee, Samuel L Jackson. Some terrible CGI action that lowers this movie to the level of a video game cutscene in places. (Droid Factory)
- DirectorGareth EdwardsStarsFelicity JonesDiego LunaAlan TudykIn a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction. The best of Disney star wars. Captures the look & feel of Lucas with modern CGI brilliantly. The plot & some characters are a little weak in places, but they absolutely nail it with the Vader scenes. A decent effort.
- DirectorJ.J. AbramsStarsDaisy RidleyJohn BoyegaOscar IsaacAs a new threat to the galaxy rises, Rey, a desert scavenger, and Finn, an ex-stormtrooper, must join Han Solo and Chewbacca to search for the one hope of restoring peace.Harrison Ford's performance is one of the few great things in this movie, but it ends badly for Han. A few good moments and promising ideas, but just not Star Wars. JJ fumbled the ball and sadly, it's downhill from here...
- DirectorJ.J. AbramsStarsDaisy RidleyJohn BoyegaOscar IsaacThe surviving Resistance faces the First Order once again in the conclusion of the Skywalker saga.JJ Abrams' attempt to fix the abomination of Ep.VIII with some memberberries (nostalgia). It really does feel like Star Wars in places, They tried, but you can't glue a broken turd back together. Superficially entertaining and (mostly) stunning visuals, not well written though. Richard E Grant is brilliant but underused.
- DirectorRon HowardStarsAlden EhrenreichWoody HarrelsonEmilia ClarkeDuring an adventure in the criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his future co-pilot Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian years before joining the Rebel Alliance. Not as bad as some reviews would say, but not a Star Wars movie in any sense of the word. Some decent performances but no depth to the story. Ridiculous origins for established characters. Fun, if mediocre fantasy. Superficially entertaining at best.
- DirectorRian JohnsonStarsDaisy RidleyJohn BoyegaMark HamillRey develops her abilities with the help of Luke Skywalker, as the Resistance prepares for battle against the First Order.A foul abomination of a movie. Utterly pathetic stinking pile of excrement. Vile, reeking cesspool of urine and vomit. The dog turd you would scrape from your boot. The worst Star Wars movie of all time. No redeeming features whatsoever. Did I mention I don't like it? Garbage.
