The movie ended but the plot wasn't finished!
A particular pet-hate of mine is the relatively new trend of deliberately ending the movie before the story reaches any kind of resolution. As if the Director is using the movie as a tool to lever an agreement for a followup they don't yet have the funds for.
Avoid these films if you like the story to reach some kind of conclusion, all of them stop abruptly and one can't help but feel the time spent watching has been a total waste.
Obviously I'm not going to count movies that were always going to have a second part (eg Fellowship of the Ring). Nor do i count clever cliffhanger's that leave it up to the viewer (eg The Italian Job) .
Ranked by most baffling sudden end.
