I realize that description actually makes it sound really interesting, but I can assure you that it is not.
3/10 - DirectorRidley ScottStarsHarrison FordRutger HauerSean YoungA blade runner must pursue and terminate four replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to Earth to find their creator.

- DirectorHollingsworth MorseStarsRichard CraneScotty BeckettSally MansfieldThis was never released as a feature film but, instead, is comprised of 3 episodes from the TV series, Rocky Jones, Space Ranger (1954) which were edited together and released on video as a feature-length story.
- DirectorWesley BarryStarsDon MegowanErica ElliottFrances McCannIn a post holocaust society, robots take it on their own to help the dying human race by giving them android bodies.Oh great, another incredibly science fiction movie that uses robots as a ham-fisted alagory for racism. Is the sort of thing I probably would have said about his movie 10 years ago. But the inclusion of elements like a citizens brigade who go around harassing robots, celebrate a single act of robot-on-human violence as the justification they need to push through anti-robot legislation, and make the suggestion of physical exams of anyone suspected to be a robot, make it into one of those thing where it seems people took "This is what fear and ignorance of hose different form you can lead to" as a challenge rather than a warning. Unfortunately, despite its accidental relevancy to a situation 60 years in the future, after the halfway point the themes really start to drift away and the message that they're trying to deliver gets incredibly messy.
6/10 - DirectorMarco BrambillaStarsSylvester StalloneWesley SnipesSandra BullockA police officer is brought out of suspended animation in prison to pursue an old ultra-violent nemesis who is loose in a non-violent future society.
- DirectorTerence FisherStarsWillard ParkerVirginia FieldDennis PriceIn Britain, a group of survivors fights off a deadly alien invasion that uses robots and a poisonous gas to take over the Earth.A very serious invasion movie focusing on a small group of survivors from a—presumably alien—attack. It focuses much more on the paranoia and interactions of the characters than it does the actual rob'ts. However, none of that ever goes anywhere. It feels a bit like they looked at what worked in similar movies, and just kinda copied it. Conflicts arise between the survivors that never really go anywhere, things are suggested to be more than they seem, but then never really explored. It has the slow pacing of a well-written movie, but without the good writing to make it worth it, and almost no payoff at the end.
4/10 - DirectorMontgomery TullyDavid PaltenghiStarsRod CameronMary MurphyMeredith EdwardsAn insurance investigator finds there's more to electronic dream therapy than meets the eye.A movie revolving around the concept of a machine capable of replaying a recorded full sensory input directly into someone's mind. A concept that is very interesting, and very ahead of its time. Perhaps a little too ahead of its time, as a lot of the themes explored in later films like Strange Days were just not concepts at the time. And as such, the whole "Electronic dream therapy" ends up being more of a plot device than a main focus. So it's got a really cool idea, but just doesn't know what to do with it.
4/10 - DirectorDavid CronenbergStarsJude LawJennifer Jason LeighIan HolmA game designer on the run from assassins must play her latest virtual reality creation with a marketing trainee to determine if the game has been damaged.
- DirectorFrançois TruffautStarsOskar WernerJulie ChristieCyril CusackIn an oppressive future, a fireman whose duty is to destroy all books begins to question his task.

- DirectorHugo GrimaldiArthur C. PierceStarsGeorge NaderBarbara NicholsGeorge MacreadyAn alien is dispatched from a faraway galaxy to take over the Earth by duplicating humans and creating a race of zombies. But the alien's heart is softened by the persevering goodness of a beautiful blind woman.
- DirectorJerry WarrenStarsJohn CarradineRobert ClarkePhyllis CoatesWhen the cable breaks on their diving bell four people find themselves trapped in a hidden underwater world.A movie about divers who find themselves stranded in an underwater cave system. A premise that has some interesting potential, but unfortunately doesn't actually tap into any of that potential. They mention how some things should be impossible, without ever providing an answer for why they're not in this specific situation. Also, the main characters just kinda coast through the story, not really having any major impact until they're deus ex machinad out of it at the end. Overall, the most interesting part of the entire movie is the stock footage of a shark fighting an octopus at the beginning.
