- DirectorAnthony RussoJoe RussoStarsRobert Downey Jr.Chris HemsworthMark RuffaloThe Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.Well, destiny has arrived, after 10 years we got the most interconnected movie of all-time (until next year) and also one of the best comicbook movies ever made.
I can start with the only bad things I feel about this movie which is Thanos`s childeren they just feel like goons and not somebody I could like at all, but it`s not something that damages the score. My favorite of those childeren is Ebony Maw since he has the most personality.
The other bad thing is that you at least have to have seen 9 out of the first 18 movies. I will make a list for that as soon as i can. (https://www.imdb.com/list/ls022528471/?ref_=otl_2)
For me this does not destroy my enjoyment with the movie and I do not think about that much when it comes to the quality of the movie. That is why this does not damage my score on the movie.
Over to what is good about this movie. I will start with talking about the one many of us think of as the main character: the villan Thanos. Now I know what you`re thinking "how could he be the main character when he is not the hero?". Well that you will have to wait for until you see the movie, but I can say he justifys why he does what he does in the movie and he is really compelling. One of the best villans I have seen in movies ever.
The next thing I will talk is that there is focusing on 21 main characters, including Thanos which I said is mostly the main character here. This is something they clear with marvelous efforts and it is a miracle that it works so well. While it`s Thanos the movie it also is a great Iron Man movie, a great Doctor Strange movie and the same I will say for Thor, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America, Spider-Man, Black Panther, etc.
I will also say that the movie is also has great music. I will say this is some of the best music in any movie ever. Alan Silvestri has outdone himself with the music in this masterpiece.
I will also talk about the action scenes which is also some of the best and coolest fighting ever in a movie. Just watch it man! It all flows also very well with the story which is also great as I have hinted to earlier in this review.
The references to earlier events, other characters, pop culture in general and more. These references are really good and interesting and some of them is also going to make you laugh very much.
Just two last things about the movie: If you are watching it for the first time I want you to do two things.
1. Remember that there also is coming one next year.
2. Watch all of the credits to see the post credit scene even if you will end not understanding that much.
To sum all which I have talked about a great Thanos movie, a movie that clears to handle 21 charcters at the same time, great action and story, great music and also very good references.
With all of this taken in to consideration I must give this a:
10 out 10!
Great job Marvel! Looking forward to next year! - DirectorBob PersichettiPeter RamseyRodney RothmanStarsShameik MooreJake JohnsonHailee SteinfeldTeen Miles Morales becomes the Spider-Man of his universe and must join with five spider-powered individuals from other dimensions to stop a threat for all realities.10 out of 10
- DirectorChristopher McQuarrieStarsTom CruiseHenry CavillVing RhamesEthan Hunt and his IMF team, along with some familiar allies, race against time after a mission gone wrong.Wow this was a really great movie! Instant Classic for me!
The Man! The Myth! The Legend! Tom Cruise is back and this time he is crazier than ever!
The stunts and action is bigger and better than ever! Especially the bathroom fight was so epic and also the helicopter chase. Just Amazing.
Still great music, it just does not age!
Everybody gave their a-game!
Cavill was really cool, very fine mustache and the fastest walker in the movie.
Tom runned like an olympian while also still being the cool spy he always is.
Simon Pegg is still as funny as always.
Rebbecca Ferguson as Illsa Faust is still very bad ass!
Ving Rhames is still as cool as ever!
Sean Harris is an even more menacing villan than last time we saw him.
Vanessa Kirby was just as good as gold for The White Widow.
Kristoffer Joner was also great as Nils Debruuk (better than his Revenant role (I am talking about him because he is norwiegan like me and I love him as an actor.)
The story is also better than before with more emotions and clever writing. That said it is a little bit too convoluted, but not too much that it will matter that much for me. Good job Christopher McQuarrie
This is the most intense action movie I have ever seen.
If this movie doesn't knock your socks off, you cannot possible be wearing any!
I give it a 10 out of 10 - DirectorAlex GarlandStarsNatalie PortmanJennifer Jason LeighTessa ThompsonA biologist signs up for a dangerous, secret expedition into a mysterious zone where the laws of nature don't apply. This is a really remarkable movie that takes you on a really weird journey, but if you ask me it is weird in a great way. The acting is great. I have not seen many movies with Natalie Portman, but this must be the best.
The effects is some of the best I have seen this year. The music is some of the best too and the story makes me think and wonder.
You may not like it but I love this and give it a
9 out of 10 - DirectorLee UnkrichAdrian MolinaStarsAnthony GonzalezGael García BernalBenjamin BrattAspiring musician Miguel, confronted with his family's ancestral ban on music, enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer.Coco is a movie that brings feels to you from start till end. The story is quite touching. Coco tells a story about a boy who loves music and wants to sing and play guitar like he is that century`s rockstar. Most of his inspiration comes from him admiring his grandfather who also had to leave his wife and family to do it and that is basically why music is not allowed in his family. Some much feelings through this story I tell ya.
The music is also great and some of the best parts of the movie. I even find myself humming the music while it´s playing in the movie.
The whole movie is also very colorful compared to what I had expected it to be since much of it is about death, but the world of the dead is very colorful in this movie and I love it for that.
The new technology used for this movie for the skeleton people is impressive. I have never seen anything like it and makes the movements of the skeletons seem so smooth and seemless. The technology is not at its peak yet, but its still good enough to be magical.
This is a fantastic piece of movies and one of my favorite Pixar-movies, but its also not all perfect. Its a really good movie in my mind with a very great and touching, but also simple story. Some incredibly good music and a very fine color parlet is used through most of the movie. The technology is great and its also making the movie much more magical.
With all of this taken in to consideration I give this movie a:
9 out of 10! - DirectorRob MarshallStarsEmily BluntLin-Manuel MirandaBen WhishawA few decades after her original visit, Mary Poppins, the magical nanny, returns to help the Banks siblings and Michael's children through a difficult time in their lives. This I must say was one of my favorites of the year. So colorful, funny and all around a good time. With actors fitting their roles more or less perfectly. Emily Blunt spescfically, she fits the role so perfectly.
The animation looks so cool and better than I thought it could.
The music is incredible and magical, some of the most beatiful ever.
Definently a great movie to end the year with for me!
9 out of 10 - DirectorRyan CooglerStarsChadwick BosemanMichael B. JordanLupita Nyong'oT'Challa, heir to the hidden but advanced kingdom of Wakanda, must step forward to lead his people into a new future and must confront a challenger from his country's past.18th movie made and they are this good, like Darth Vader always says "Impressive, Most Impressive".
It really impressive that this can make a 18th movie in the series this good and also make it feel very standalone. If you wanted to you could start with this one, just don`t go right into Infinity War afterwards or you will get pretty confused.
I want to start with the bad points because I want to get it out fast: The big battle scene at the end, I will say that yes its a really good scene, but its not the best one. Compared to the other big battles we have had in the MCU until now I will say that the movie is chatoic. Its to much things that is happening at the same time. Only parts of it actully good and feels like we actully see what is happening but in most of the time it feels like I am watching a cluster of people fighting with camera not focusing at anybody.
My second point has to do with something I mostly liked. Martin Freemans´role is one I like very much, but I would have loved it even more if we got to see more of his reaction to Wakanda and it`s technology! If he just had gotten their earlier and have a bigger reaction I would have loved it more, but from what we see it`s not believable enough for me.
My third and last point is (and I will be short on it because if not then there will be spoilers) that some of the character stories aren`t developed enough. When you see a movie with many rich character storyies it sticks out when they have some they don`t fill out enough.
Over to the good things:
I mentioned the characterarcs earlier I will start with that. The Character is in this movie are some of the best we have had in a Marvel movie and it`s not just one great character story here, two? No more than that there is 6 great character stories in these movie and they each get to show their personalities and great motivations for what they are doing for their country. My favorite characters ended up to be Shuri, Killmonger, Okoye, Nakia, T`Challa and M`Baku. They also have very great actors who live and breath their roles. They were amazing.
The other is the world-building or as I would call it for most of this movie country-building. The country of Wakanda is an amazing world which I would love to live in or at visit from time to time. It doesn`t only look real, but rich on culture, diffrent people from other parts of the countries
diffrent and very interesting places. And the best of all: So rich in COLORS. I am not just talking about the people, but what they wear and how that looks, the color of different places. I Love it!
Very good music that fits in with the places they go to and fits the character on screen very much.
Nice actionscens also, I love the one in South Korea and the first battle with Killmonger vs. T`Challa.
Last, but not least the villan is great. Erik Killmonger is a villan with a belivable reason for why he do these things. For some parts of I wanted him to win. Michael B. Jordan, This is your best role yet! Before Infinity War this was my favorite villan of the MCU.
So to summarise what I said a great villan, good music, nice action, great country-building and great characters, but also some issuses with the big battle at end and some story issuses in the movie.
All around I had a really great time and I will give this movie an:
8,8 out of 10 - DirectorBrad BirdStarsCraig T. NelsonHolly HunterSarah VowellThe Incredibles family takes on a new mission which involves a change in family roles: Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) must manage the house while his wife Helen (Elastigirl) goes out to save the world.Wow this was really good. This was definantly worth 14 years of wait although I wish we don`t have to wait another 14 years for the next. The action was great, the Story is really cool and the characters (no joke) incredible, especially Bob having to now take care of the kids and Violet growing more mature and see how Helen did as a superhero.
The villan is a cool character conseptvise although I think the exquistion of the villan was not. I understood the villans main motivation, but I felt that the character was a little too dark for this type of film. But this is not something I am sure about so maybe in a few years I will like the villan. One thing I am sure of is that Syndrome is better.
The music is also some of the best in Disney from 2018. Espically the main theme I looooooove that.
This is also the most funny movie of the 2. I love all the Jack-Jack-scenes. They are just so adorable and funny.
This the 4th best Superhero movie of the year and I will give it a 8,5 out of 10 - DirectorDavid LeitchStarsRyan ReynoldsJosh BrolinMorena BaccarinFoul-mouthed mutant mercenary Wade Wilson (a.k.a. Deadpool) assembles a team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young boy with abilities from the brutal, time-traveling cyborg Cable. This I must say is so far the most funny movie I have seen this year. This movie has better Jones than the original and they also matched with time we are in now. Also more jokes that I actually could understand than there was in the original. I can`t say which jokes I am talking about because that would be to much of a spoiler.
The choreography in this movie is also better done than in the original. That is all thanks David Lietch which have also is the producer of first two John Wick movies and also stunt choregraphy on many other movies such as Matrix, Bourne and Oceans Eleven and his experience with these movies is what helps him create some very good choregraphy for this movie.
Also very good soundtrack in this movie that could be very funny and also very suitable for the movie. Some of the is also very intersting beacause of the stars. See the movie and you will maybe understand what I mean.
This movie doh is not better than the original movie even if it has aspectes of it that is better than the original. I will say that the story wasn’t as good as the first one. Mostly beacause the first Deadpool movie had a story that felt more Deadpool-ish if you know what I mean.
Deadpool’s growth as a character is also better done. I did not know that I would love him more if he cared more about his friends, but i really did. Good job Ryan.
Cable’s personality was also really cool and had the seriousness this movie needed. His tech is also really cool. I would really like to have a gun like his if I would need one.
The only thing I did not like was that we did not get to see that much of the future world that he did come from. I would have so liked to see more because when I think back to it, Cable as a character would have been better if we could see more of his past. It makes me feel like we missed some important parts of his past that occurred before he lost his child.
But still you did a really good job Brolin.
The last character I want to talk about is Domino which is fantastic in this movie. And her luck is definitively cinematic. It`s so fun to see goo her way while most other things go shit for everybody else.
Also one last thing before I go to summary: If you are going to watch this especially if it is your first time you should watch the after credits scene. This has the best after credits scene ever in the existence of after credits scenes so watch that.
So to summarise this movie has great acting, a good story, good characters if their story does not feel that much filled out, very good music, great humor and the best after credit scene ever.
With all of this taken in to consideration I give this movie a
8,5 out of 10 - DirectorRon HowardStarsAlden EhrenreichWoody HarrelsonEmilia ClarkeDuring an adventure in the criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his future co-pilot Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian years before joining the Rebel Alliance. When I did go in to see this movie I had low expectations. The ones I had were mostly that the was going to be ok, Lando was going to be very good, Chewbacca was going to have his best role yet and that Alden Ehrenrich was going to be a bad Han Solo.
When I walked out of the theater I knew that I had two out of four wrong and was really happy about being so wrong even if it wasn`t flawless (You should really go see it).
I will start with the first thing I was wrong on and that is the story. Yes, the story is not the best and it does not have any "Galactic Consequences" and that is all totally fine in my book. This is a more personal story and I believe this is the story the movie needed that even if I usually like the ones with "Galactic Consequences".
I love that they use a story that fits Han even if there is some weird things here and there. I loves it`s twists and turns and also how it connects to the saga as a whole.
My second point where I was wrong had to do with Alden as Han. From the trailers I got the sense of him being a bad actor. I am so glad I was not totally wrong.
He did the role very well actually, not perfectly. I still think Taron Egerton from the Kingsman movies could have done a better job, but I like what we got here in this movie. I love that he made me belive he was Han in this without copying too much of Harrisons work, but the parts he copyed is done very well.
Over to one of the other characters I loved: Chewie. Chewbacca is usually one of my favorite characters in the whole saga and I also belive this is his best movie out of the 6 movies he has been in. Joonas has really outdone himself this time as Chewie. He gives so much characterdepth that we have not yet seen in any of the movies. Good job Joonas! Good job!
I also loved Lando in this. I expected Donald Glover to be very good, but he was better than I imagened. He gave dimensions I had never seen to Lando as a character and gave me also things to laugh of.
Donald and Han had some of the best humor moments in the movie. The humor here is better than the Last Jedi's and it also fits more in this universe.
The newer characters we get is mostly letdowns and that is because of several reasons:
1. A few of the characters aren`t in there that much.
2. They don`t really get much storytime focused on them, but they should have.
There was some of the new characters that I did liked/loved. I will start with Qira and say that I liked her arc in this movie. She goes through terrible things, but still has the motivaton go on as the crime lord’s lieutnant. I would like to know more about her since the movie hints to more of her backstory as it goes.
Emilia Clarke does a badass role and the character does make me belive she is at least Han’s friend and not girlfriend. That is mostly because of how her character changes through the movie.
My next character is Tobias Beckett who I originally thought were going to be his father in a way and that was somewhat true. To see him as Han`s mentor is actually really cool even if Beckett did not really want to work with him. I also like that you don`t always know which side he actually is on.
Over to Enfys Nest who is to me a very interesting character. I can`t really say that much because I want the watcher to have the best experince, but I will say that this character is very interesting with the ties Enfys has to the Star Wars Universe. I Would really like to see this character again in the Star Wars Universe.
And Last but not least: My favorite new character is L3-37. I know I have heard people say she is an irritaiting droid, but I of course disagree on that. I feel love her character even if she has too little screen time in the movie. Her personality and her will to free droids around the universe is impressive. I would really like to see more of her in the movie. And to qoute her "I am so glad she took that job"
The music in this is good but the original music that is made for this movie just does not stand out as much as the music that John Williams made for the movie series. John Williams`s music in this is still great, but Powell`s work is a mixed bag. Most of it I actually didn`t notice through the whole movie and he created almost all of the new music. Well I will say it did not ruin the experience it just was not as good as much of Williams's
This movie is also filled with a shockload of easter eggs. So many good ones that connects much of the Star Wars Universe, not just the movies, but also the tv-shows. Man oh man so many good ones.
And lastly before I rate the movie I want to talk about my favorite scene. Many of the action scenes are really good, but where this movie really shines is where it stops up and let us breath and play a card game. Yeah, I found the short, but sweet Sabacc-scene to be the best because it was the one that i felt my self most on the edge of my seat and it was so exciting even if I thought I knew where it was going. Good job!
Ok, so to sum up my thoughts many good character both new and old, but most of the new ones should have more screentime to get deeper in to their characters.
The music is good even if there is none of the new that actually stands out.
The action scenes is also very good and the humor is better than the Last Jedi`s because it feels more like Star Wars instead of the modern day humor that was in the Last Jedi.
Good references and scenes and again the old characters shines very well in this movie.
I would definitely like if Alden said the sequel was already in the works.
Alden and Donald capture their characters and do them amazingly. Same to you Joonas you are awesome as Chewie.
With all of this taken in to consideration i give this my rating of a:
8 out of 10 - DirectorBryan SingerStarsRami MalekLucy BoyntonGwilym LeeThe story of the legendary British rock band Queen and lead singer Freddie Mercury, leading up to their famous performance at Live Aid (1985).I came in to this movie knowing that it had some errors with what happened in real-life and that the music of course is great. (I am not very well known with Queen either) But I got so much more than what I had bargained for.
The music was incredible. The actors was amazing, especially Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury. The story was done very well and it also made me tear up a bit. The errors with reality did not bother me at all, because it was still a good despite what they had changed.
I had a really fun time and I look forward to next year`s "Rocketman" which has some of same crew on it from this.
8 out of 10 - DirectorDavid YatesStarsEddie RedmayneKatherine WaterstonDan FoglerGellert Grindelwald plans to raise an army of wizards to rule over non-magical beings. In response, Newt Scamander's former professor, Albus Dumbledore, seeks his help to stop him. This was a magical experience for me! To come back to the world of Harry Potter! Although I would agree that the last one was better as a movie than this was.
The action is great, especially the last scene and the story also a very good although they could have toned down the dark tone a little bit.
The humour is also good even if it sometimes clashs much with the tone of the movie. The dialogue was also very nice even if parts of it felt a little cheesy.
The acting was also on-point. Eddie Redmayne was very good as Newt Scamander. Eddie is one my top 3 here he really shined in his scenes and is coming very good in his acting.
The other two on my top 3 are Jude Law as Dumbledore (which did an amazing job, he really was Dumbledore) and Johnny Depp (stole the scene all the time he was on it) as Grindelwald
Ezra Miller is also back as Credence Barebone and he shines as his character grows into something larger of a role (which also he as actor does, this is one of his best movies yet).
Dan Folger also returned as Jacob Kowalski and did a good job and so for Alison Sudol as Queenie. Katherine Waterson also does a very good job as Tina Goldstein and she also shines (not as much as the top 3 though) in her scenes.
The other new actors in this movie is Claudia Kim as Nagini which did ok although she was there too little of her in both screentime and character development, but that is not her fault.
Zoë Kravitz as Leta Lestrange, She was very good and had a very good chemistry with Newt, but her character could have been written better.
And lastly Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander and he was good at the acting, but we got to see too little of him and his character is also the one that suffered the most from having little character development. Other characters made him seem to have a bigger role in this and also to be a more filled out character, but we did not get to see that. I hope we can see what was not there in this one in the next movie
With all of this taken in to consideration I give this a:
7 out of 10! - DirectorRasmus A. SivertsenStarsKari Ann GrønsundTrond HøvikPer SkjølsvikIn the international race to the moon, the Norwegian mission is led by brilliant inventor Reodor from the village of Pinchcliffe. With Luca the Magpie as the brave astronaut, what could possibly go wrong?Note: This movie is not coming to any place outside Norway from what I know right now.
It was a blast to return to Pinchcliffe and meetup again with Redor Felgen, Solan Gundersen and Ludvig. It also has a good story, good action and The humor is the best we have since the original back in 1975. A very charming movie with many themes that also comments on things that have happend in the real world.
The voice-acting here is also very good from both new and old characters.
Ingar Helge Gimle does a very good peformance as Vigfus, the sort-of villan of this movie. Hege Schøyen is doing a good performance as Engelschøn Glad and Kåre Conradi was good as Frimand Pløsen even if there was a little too much about the romance between Engelschøn Glad and Pløsen.
The charcters of Ludvig, Solan and Reodor is also performed here with so much love and passion. The actors/actress are the character and nothing else and that is how good they are.
Good music and great animation and all around a good time
7 out of 10 - DirectorJohn Andreas AndersenStarsKristoffer JonerAne Dahl TorpEdith Haagenrud-SandeIn 1904 an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 on the Richter scale shook Oslo, with an epicenter in the "Oslo Graben" which runs under the Norwegian capital. There are now signs that indicate that we can expect a major future earthquake in Oslo."The Quake" is the sequel to "The Wave" from 2015. Which continues the story about the geologist Kristian Eikjord that tries again to warn a part of Norway about an upcoming natural disaster. Which this time is a very big earthquake.
For those you who think you need to see the last one to understand what is going on here and who these guys are. Well this movie recaps the first movie in the begining. So no, but if you still want to you are aloud to watch the last one too. Now over to the actual review:
"The Quake" or "Skjelvet" as it is called here in it`s homecountry, is a great movie and shows how Norwiegan filmmaking is coming closer to looking like Hollywood when it comes to effects and look.
Kristoffer Joner is great as this movies leading actor, while we also have really good actors in Ane Dahl Torp, Kathrine T. Johansen and Edith Haagenrud-Sande.
The action is also great and the set design Ooh so nice. But would the action be as good without the effects? I don`t think so. I was legit scared of how good they were.
These effects are really some of the best I have ever seen from Norway.
The earthquake is also very good build up very well also with the tension, the editing and the panicked reactions to the main characters.
Over all this is a very good movie, but I will say that some of the characters should have gotten more screentime. Like Torp as "Idun" or Jonas Hoff Oftebros "Sondre"
The only other negative things I actually negative criticisms does involve spoilers in them so I won`t be writing it here since this is a spoiler free review.
To sum it all up great acting, great action and effects and great build up for the quake. With all of this taken in to consideration I give this a :
7 out of 10 - DirectorJake CastorenaSam LiuStarsJerry O'ConnellRebecca RomijnRainn WilsonSuperman battles against an insurmountable foe named Doomsday.I was really surprised by this movie! Even if I knew how this movie would end (Not just because of the title, but also because of how famous this story is as a turning point in the comic industry) I was still surprised about how good Superman was portrayed in this also how others in the story.
The voiceacting in this movie was outstanding with actors giving their A-game. Superman is played with such a warmth and care that makes him shine more than what we have seen from the DC cinematic universe. Superman as a character as well as a boyfriend to Lois Lane is played more believable here than I have ever known the character of. It is just brilliant!
Lois is also played very well and done so much more with than from what I have seen before. She makes her reasons for doubting Clark as her boyfriend very understandable. I mean why should you be in love with somebody you don`t know that much?
The other members of the Justice League also does a solid job in the movie, even if I would have liked to see more Green Lantern since I love Nathan Fillions version that much, but I understand why the character could not be in the movie that much.
The fight scenes against Doomsday was really epic. It was much much better than anything from "Batman v Superman". And the music makes it even better.
This was not a revolutionary movie, but it was still surprisingly great and something that makes me eager to watch what is next for the DC animated movies.
With all of this taken in to consideration I give this a:
7 out of 10 - DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsTye SheridanOlivia CookeBen MendelsohnWhen the creator of a virtual reality called the OASIS dies, he makes a posthumous challenge to all OASIS users to find his Easter Egg, which will give the finder his fortune and control of his world.Beatiful Movie! I love that there was so many easter eggs even if I did not catch every easter egg, but I would have had no chance in that since there is (according to others who have seen it) over 3 000 easter eggs in this movie.
The story is still pretty good even if the movie is very much it`s own thing from the book and here in my mind it works because the movie makes it better for the modern times.
Some of the scenes have another time-placement in the movie compared to the book.
Some scenes are earlier some scenes are later and the challanges is also really great suited to the main plot of the both the movie and the book and thats why they are so good in my mind at least.
The acting doh depends a little bit on which type of character they are playing. The actors for the minor chararcters are great. Sorrento, Morrow and Halliday`s actor steals the show when they are there and are a part of most of the highligts of the movie. They embody their roles so believable and incredibly that I can not stop loving them.
When it comes to the ones who are playing the main characters like Parzival and Art3mis is awkward mostly when it comes to the close-ups and some of the minor characters are very stiff in there performances.
Overall its a really good movie with many cool callbacks and magical music. A good cast with some very good supporting actors and a good plot. But some weird close-ups, some actors not as good as every body else and a dum story choice.
All around a really good movie, it`s defiently worth it, even if you do not end up seeing it in the cinemas.
7 out of 10 - DirectorSam LiuStarsChristian SlaterVanessa WilliamsBilly BrownTask Force X targets a powerful mystical object that they will risk their lives to steal.Really cool story, Very good voice acting and they also played very good characters. Bronze Tiger, Reverse Flash and Deathstroke had the best roles and the story has also some really good twists.
Exting action, great characters and defiently better than the live action DCEU movie (Thats not hard doh)
7 out of 10 - DirectorPeyton ReedStarsPaul RuddEvangeline LillyMichael PeñaAs Scott Lang balances being both a superhero and a father, Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym present an urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past.MCU`s 20th movie isn`t as good as the two other movies we had this year, but it`s ok that something like that happens. It has kind becomed some sort of a multi season long tv-series and if you would ask me how many seasons there actually is of the MCU as a whole I would say 13 and counting. (Why 13 well the actual TV-series is my reasoning).
But is this 20th movie from MCU worth watching? Oh Yes Sir. This movie has most of the things you expect from the MCU and also a few things you don`t and one thing we should have expected them to do because we all were not fans of the comics before we begun watching this universe unfold (More on that later).
This movie is to me funnier than the original Ant-Man, but not as good. When they now have made so many it is obivously this would happen though, but back to what this review is all about the humour. Like I said this one is funnier and that is for many reasons. Paul Rudd i love you and you too Evangeline and also mostly Luis in the scene most of you who have seen it knows and remembers.
The plot does have some inconsistencies because some of the logic for the Quantum realm as well as the time when something or someone changes sizes, but it does not hurt me as much as it does for many others because it is a movie. Escapism and all that, but I do still count them in this.
The movie is also very forgettable, but I feel every one is taking it the wrong way. Why you may ask because it`s still a fun movie with cool action and a beautiful Quantum realm. But I do agree this movie is really forgettable, even if for me it still a good movie.
Now when it comes to those "villans" we had in this movie. We had one who was basically a thug and that is Walton Goggin`s role as Sonny Burch. Walton did a good job on the acting, but it never really felt like he was put in there for an antagonist who makes the action scenes happen.
And for when it comes to "Ghost" (Hannah John-Kamen) I am okay that she was not a 100 % villan. I would have liked her more if she explained more about her backstory. ¨
And one more thing to criticize about "Ghost" that another critic on YouTube said. I think it is ok that they changed the "Ghost" character from the comic books because the MCU is still a very different universe from the comic books and changing something and just using the same name is some thing they have done before with Civil War so yeah.
The dynamic between Evangeline Lilly and Paul Rudd is great with so much funny quips on each other through the whole movie as well as being very good in the serious situations.
The little of Michelle Pfeiffer was also very good and funny. I hope we can see more of her in a Ant-Man 3.
Michael Douglas and Laurence Fisburne was some of the best and most funnist parts of the movie. Great acting from everyone in this movie.
And also very good music especially when it changes when someone shrinks.
Good story, but as good as the other ones this, but that is ok. Very good humour and great acting. An ok villan and another semi-villan that was also good. And very good music.
I have seen better this year but you can`t always catch lightning in a bottle so yeah. With all of this taken in to consideration I give this a
7 out of 10. - DirectorDavid KerrStarsRowan AtkinsonBen MillerOlga KurylenkoAfter a cyber-attack reveals the identity of all of the active undercover agents in Britain, Johnny English is forced to come out of retirement to find the mastermind hacker.Johnny is back and he is as funny as always. This time they are fighting against a technical genius.
The jokes in this movie is very funny and there is also more of them than usual. The action is also really fun and done good to integrate with the jokes.
Now this is not a movie that should be taken serious because it is just a parody of Bond and a good one at it. I don`t like Bond, but I really love English.
The story is ok but it is very small and self-contained and yes that could be good too but it could be better if it was a larger story and they had a lot more to tell but oh well.
The actors also does a really great job. Rowan is once again doing a very good performance as Johnny English and we also have Ben Miller returning as Bough from the first movie which is also very good. Bough is very good in this movie too. Olga Kurylenko is good as the love interest even if her role is a little bit boring.
The villan is also played very good by Jake Lacy. It did look very much like he likes to be evil. Emma Thompson is also very good as the Prime Minister. She is also part of the best scene in the movie.
To sum it up: Good jokes, good action, good acting, and an ok story that could have been much better.
With all this taken in to consideration I give this a:
7 out of 10 - DirectorJake CastorenaStarsFrank WelkerGrey GriffinMatthew LillardBatman teams up with the Scooby Doo gang when villains from both of their worlds unite to wreak havoc on the city.A ok story that does not go that deep and a fun experience with some good characters, but the best moments are those that references (like the music as well as how some of the characters behave) to the tv-series that this celebrates: Batman: The Brave and the Bold from 10 years ago.
This made me really nostalgic for the original series which has been a big part of my childhood, but I can`t be a total buyist because I know I love this because of the nostalgia and I know that this would not be as great for somebody who have not seen it.
I am not saying that you should have watched the whole series to enjoy it fully because i think you could still love this even if you have not watched the series because it also references very much to the Batman-franchise and the Scooby-Doo-franchise.
And with that I hope people will have fun with this movie and I give this movie a
6,8 out of 10. - DirectorJunpei MizusakiStarsKôichi YamaderaWataru TakagiAi KakumaBatman, along with a number of his allies and adversaries, finds himself transplanted from modern Gotham City to feudal Japan.6,Well I actually think this movie was very awesome, but I also love very much Japan so yeah. Yes I will say the story is very messy with all this time travel and all that but I am ok with it and that is because most of the core story is understandable and not the things outside the core story.
This movie makes the rivalry between Batsy and Joker more fresh with it taking place in the time of the samurais and the art style is breathtaking. It is so beautiful! And really awesome music.
It is also very much Japan with all these battles that have a some nonsense in them, but also looks really awesome.
The bad things is mostly the story and how messy it ends up being and also how much that actually does not make sense here. Yes I did hint to earlier that it is okay that the story has some parts that does not make sense but here it is so much more than that. It is still a fine story, but too messy
Awesome, but messy movie with a breathtaking art style and great music. Good battles and very much Japan. With all this taken in to consideration I give this a:
6,8 out of 10 - DirectorMatt PetersStarsJonathan AdamsDee Bradley BakerTroy BakerAquaman must battle foes in the air, on land and in the depths of the Seven Seas, along with some help from The Justice League, to save the day .Dee Bradley Baker does a very good role as the titular hero while the others also do very good.
I think the story is ok nothing surprising or special but if you expect that then you expect too much from these Lego movies.
Good action was also in this through the whole plot. I will not say that there is that much bad things with the movie. The music is good, not remarkable, but good.
The humour is also good at times, but other times it seems too silly so I don`t really want to laugh. Oh well my sense of humour isn`t the same as it was when I was in the agegroup this movie is based on.
So to sum it up good voiceacting, ok story, ok humour, good music and good action. I give this movie a:
6,8 out of 10 - DirectorJ.A. BayonaStarsChris PrattBryce Dallas HowardRafe SpallWhen the island's dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen and Claire mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event.Life did not find a way to make this movie more than mediocre.
I will say as many others already have said: The first act was the best part of the movie. It has the thrill and exitement that a Jurassic movie should have. That had some of the greatest scenes I had ever seen in a Jurassic movie.
But after that the movie just goes very much down in quality. Much of the writing was bad from the first half, but second half is even worse with the dialog and also one of the most stupid villans ever. All I can say is that he makes some dum choices.
The writing is also very bad. Bad dialogue and jokes. The joke in the trailer is also one of the very few that I actually laughed off. And don’t get me started on the dialogue. I am so relived that this guy is not gonna write or direct Star Wars Episode IX.
I also feel like the characters from the last movie has not changed a bit and we don’t learn anything new about them. F. ex. why is Owen (Chris Pratt) so good at everything or why does not anybody listen to Glodblum (also buy the way yes he should have been there more).
And lastly the special effects in this movie is great as usual and also the practical effects is really great. The Dinosaurs felt more real than ever since the first one.
So to sum it all up bad writing, no characters that feel compelling or memorable (except the T-Rex of course), great special effects and very great first act.
With all of this taken in to consideration I give Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom a:

The Flash must find a way to restore time and finally apprehend his worst enemy before all is lost.Ok, a fine story about the Flash, but nothing really special. Good voice acting by James Arnold Taylor (from Star Wars The Clone Wars as Obi-Wan and Plo Koon).
5 out of 10 - DirectorArild FröhlichStarsIne F. JansenAnders BaasmoAtle AntonsenA modern take of the classic Norwegian movie where our main characters meet unforeseen troubles and bureaucracy when they refurbish an inherited house, to get away from a mad mother. A hopeless and hilarious meet with the system.Since this is a Norwiegan movie that did not (as of my knowledge at this point in time) come to countries outside of Scandinavia the review is also going to be in norwiegan be warned.
