- The festival is now in its fourth decade. It became an international event in 1994 and is under the auspices of C.I.F.E.J. (International Centre of Films for Children and Young People) since 1995. The festival is divided in two sections, national and international and its films are judged by a professional as well as a children's jury. Additionally there is a non-competitive, informative section of films for young people. (as of 2002)
