- The Swedish rock band Eldkvarn conducted during the 1988 tent tour "Circus Broadway" together with a long line of Swedish artists such as Pugh Rogefeldt, Marie Fredriksson, Ratata, Peter Lemarc and others. The show/concert was recorded by Swedish Television and was shown the year after in 1989.

- Musical jamboree with Swedish rocker Jerry Williams and his guests. Erik Sven Fernström (1942 - 2018), known by his stage name Jerry Williams, was a Swedish singer and actor. He began his career as the lead singer of The Violents, before launching a solo career. When Little Richard performed at the Star-Club in Hamburg in 1962, both Williams along with The Violents and The Beatles were opening acts.
- Vikingarna (The Vikings) is a Swedish dance band formed in Karlstad in 1958. It is the best-selling dance band, and one of the best-selling artists, in Scandinavia and is often regarded as the greatest dance orchestra to have existed. In 1958, as skiffle bands were reaching the height of their popularity in Europe, Ji-Coo and the Vikings were formed in Sweden, with Gunnar Olsson on guitar, Hans Axelsson on bass, Egon Olsson on drums, Svante Valjestöl on keyboards, Jens "Ji-Coo" Carlson on saxophone, and Newman Alexander on trumpet. The band did not have a lead singer at first, but after a series of auditions, Kerstin Larsson was hired for the job. The band became a local hit, and in 1961, they were given a shot at recording their first EP, Viking Boogie, which entered the Top 20 charts on Radio Luxembourg.

The radio-pirate Radio Mercur and Radio Nord played song frequently while the national broadcaster Sveriges Radio SR didn't because "Kära mor" was considered too sentimental, but after public pressure, SR started playing it which resulted in that "Kära mor" became the song of the year in 1961. During the 1960s, Göingeflickorna toured the USA and visited the old Swedish villages in Minnesota.
