- A geological event begins a series of wild weather changes. As the snow fall and low temperatures reach historic proportions Joël, a Montreal mailman and his friend head out of town. Things go from bad to worse as basic services break down and isolated survivors try to cope when it appears that this new frozen dystopia is the new normal. Sometimes referred to as the Quebecois "Walking Dead", the series features creative writing, convincing acting and great cinematography.

- -On July 24, 1967, General de Gaulle was in Montreal, (Canada). Invited to City Hall by Mayor Jean Drapeau, the French president came out to the balcony to greet the crowd. While no speech was planned, de Gaulle took advantage of a forgotten microphone on the terrace to pronounce four words that went around the world: "Vive le Québec libre. This short film tells the story of this microphone. Installed in the morning by technicians, the mayor had insisted that it be removed, as no intervention was planned from the balcony. The microphone had been unplugged and stored in a corner of the terrace. That evening, when General de Gaulle insisted on speaking, a technician present at the event quickly reconnected the microphone. The French president then delivered a speech that he concluded with his famous phrase.

- Mathieu has been taken on as a public letter-writer by the central Community Centre in Montreal. He is accompanied by Sophie, the coordinator for the centre.
- Organisational problems, disagreements with the management, unpleasant customers: Mathieu's days at the centre aren't always sweetness and light. Such as when he meets the openly racist whirlwind Pauline. But there are moments of pure pleasure, notably when Conrad, the endearing illiterate, makes him smile. Times when he feels useful.
- To back up the complaint, Mathieu visits Cindy's seedy flat. Visibly the pair are sharing more than just a glance. Pete wants to write a love letter and Jojo, the volunteer, is celebrated by the staff. Is the letter-writer useful or futile? Will his job disappear with the budget cuts?
- Several months have passed since Mathieu was taken on. The center is just surviving and permanently short of money. During the bingo organized to raise money, Kévin, a young dropout, becomes a problem. Responsible for throwing him out, Mathieu realizes that he is too attached to his clients.
