- Far away in a little house by the railroad lives a little and a very restless girl called Masha. She loves to play so much that all other animals don't share her enthusiasm and always hide from her. One day she is fed up with it and flees into the forest. There she finds a cozy-looking house that belongs to the Bear, who at this moment just gone fishing. Upon his return, he discovers his lovely house in shambles.
- The autumn has arrived. The Bear prepares for his winter bedtime by barricading himself from Masha inside the house. But the little girl manages to find her way indoors and causes yet another mess by awakening a whole swarm of bees. But all her games eventually stop and when the Bear cooks some porridge to feed the child, he discovers her fallen asleep.

But Masha finds her way between the two bears every time. Finally the female friend notices her and demands an explanation. He tries to reason with her but is presented with a choice - it is either the girl or his new female friend. The Bear can't make up his mind at once and his companion leaves with another bear.
- The Bear goes fishing. In anticipation he slings his fishing rod but as soon as the first fish swallows the bait, Masha appears and transforms a pleasant fishing trip into a nightmare. The Bear makes a fishing rod for Masha to neutralize her restless behavior and she immediately catches a magical Gold Fish.

- Masha wants to learn ice skating. But there's nobody around to teach her and the Bear is fast asleep. However this does not concern Masha one little bit. She puts on rolling skates on his feet and rolls him out towards the frozen pond where he eventually wakes up. Now he has no choice but to teach the impatient girl how to ice skate.
- With the beginning of school year around the corner, Masha, like all the children wants to go to school and asks the Bear to make her one. Overwhelmed with enthusiasm, the Bear completes the task and the next day Masha sits at a brand new desk and tries to act as a attentive studio but ends up driving the Bear completely mad.

- The Bear wakes up in his chair with an enormous bump on his head and a champion's trophy. But he can't remember how it all happened. Masha and the hare stand beside him with guilty looks on their faces. They tell their interpretations of the story that greatly differ from one another. The Bear has to decide which one is true and which is false.
- The Bear's little cousin, Panda, comes over for a visit. Masha immediately wants to pal up and spend time playing games. A competitive spirit awakens in our little heroes as they can't share anything between each other. The Bear quickly figures out that if properly channeled this competitiveness can greatly help him around the house.

- Masha brings bear an egg, from which a penguin hatches. Bear suddenly has a lot on his hands, and the penguin is trying to peck at him all the time. Masha, on the other hand, loves the little guy, she's teaching him to fly, and to bear's great relief, he does so.
- Bear is once more visited by his distant relative - Panda. They start making Chinese dumplings, but then Masha appears, with her own methods of cooking. And thus a simple chore turns into a culinary master class.
- What an obnoxious child Masha is. How can the Bear even stand her. Now Masha as usual finds ways to get her pretty dress dirty and the Bear has to do mounts of laundry and tailor new outfits for her. But fortunately he soon runs out of outfits and Masha is taken home. Maybe now the Bear can finally enjoy peace and quiet. But for how long?
- Bright summer day. Bear, while gathering berries, meets female bear in the woods and arranges a date. Returning home, he starts cleaning the house and baking a pie. Once the pie is done, bear decorates it with strawberries, and the notices that Masha has appeared out of nowhere to eat them before starting to hiccup. He tries all manner of remedies from a medical encyclopedia to stop the hiccups. In the end, hiccups spread to everyone: Masha, bear, female bear, and the other woodland creatures.
- There's rain outside, and bear, certain that Masha will stay home in such weather grabs a book. But soon Masha shows up on his doorstep and also wants to read. Bear thinks what to distract her with, and settles on a chest with various magic tricks. This turns out not to be the brightest idea because Masha starts testing all of the objects within on bear, from the wand to the gloves. To finish his book, bear decides to hide in a magic box, but because of Masha this idea has an unusual result.
- Bear's idea to hang a new picture frame ends in a huge explosion. This necessitates some repair work. Masha and the other animals help Bear with this difficult job.
- On a fine winter day Masha and the Bear find inspiration to start painting. Masha borrows paints with a tiny canvas and begins to make paintings of everyone in the forest.
