- A personal journey into a family myth. The life of my grandmother, my mother and my aunt continues to be influenced by my grandfather: the Abstract Expressionist painter Arshile Gorky whose suicide in 1948 dictates fraught family dynamics.
- Set against the tech world, this is a story of two colleagues, Zoe and Jack, who go out for a drink on a Friday night and their relationship changes completely as he tries to spike her drink. Fortunately, a woman catches him on her phone and warns Zoe. The film captures the psychological turmoil Zoe goes through as it dawns on her that Jack had intended to drug her and abuse her. Flashes of an imagined rape haunt her as she returns to her table and sits before Jack pretending everything is OK while waiting for the police arrive on the scene. She manages to overcome her fears, confront him and come out triumphantly of this potentially traumatizing situation. This film is inspired by true events. As seven out of ten rape victims know their perpetrator, this is a film about women helping each other and empowering themselves.
