- Joe's Place is a residential home for homeless teens boys in St. Louis. It began as a joint venture between a church and a school district to address the needs of homelessness in Maplewood, MO (immediately on the outskirts of St. Louis city). Filmmaker Matt Seilback followed the four boys living in that home for one school year. We follow 3 of the boys through their senior year and a 4th as he adjusts to life in the home for his first year. Dan and Alyssa Reeve are the houseparents who have sacrificed their daily lives to serve as 'Mom and Dad' to these young men. The film explores the effects of the boys troubled pasts, how their lives were changed by living at Joe's Place with Dan, Alyssa and their young son Carter, and how the lives of countless others have been effected and touched in the process.
