- Jo's life is saved by a mysterious stranger after she is left choking on her seat belt after she is run off the road. When she learns her benefactor may have committed a drive-by shooting moments earlier, she refuses to accept it.
- Joss's brother arrives in town to help train the Blue Light soccer team, and takes a shine to Kelly - much to Joss's dismay.
- Evan (Jonesy) is taking his detective's exam. Amy is left alone with Matt who seems to cause trouble wherever he goes; accident prone Kelly and Joss are doing some detective work of their own, with the theft of some property.
- Susie goes to bat to save the reputation of a man whose depression has driven him to suicide. He is also under suspicion of leaving a bomb at the hospital the day of his death.
