- An immoral small-town girl steals money from her drunk lover in order to go to a big city. There she becomes a cabaret star and seduces a wealthy married entrepreneur.
- Sam Stallings kills and robs Lynn Durant. The Man from Oklahoma arrives and he and Stallings quickly become enemies. The Oklahoman eventually learns who killed Durant and avoiding the trap on his life by Stalling's henchman, sends his dog for the Sheriff while he goes after Stallings.

Billy arranges to finance a boxing match with Burke, but because Billy's father objects, the fight must take place on a raft near Coney Island. Billy finally wins the fight, thereby impressing his fiancée and winning the respect of his father.

When Bert is falsely arrested for stealing an automobile, Dorothy is forced to work as a cigarette girl. She and Bert are later reunited, and Johann forgives his daughter.
- "Matches Mary" has sold matches on the streets of New York for many years and nobody knows her real identity. The truth is that Mary's young son had been kidnapped many years ago and she donned ragged attire while searching for the man, whom she knew, who did it. Years later day she meets him on the street and demands to know about her son, now grown to manhood. The man, now calling himself Foster, escapes but Mary track him to his home. Foster's nephew comes in and announces that he has gotten married while in college. Foster is furious and threatens violence. That night he is found murdered and Peter is accused of the crime, and is put on trial. Mary testifies she was the one who murdered Foster. She is about to be sentenced when a detective brings in a confession from two burglars who admit killing Foster. Peter asks Mary who she is and she replies she is just "somebody's mother." Later, an old friend and a lawyer bring evidence that reunites Mary with her lost son, Peter.
- Hart Lawson is the pampered scion of an old patent medicine--manufacturing family, whose members are poor advertising for the rejuvenating effects of their own products. Hart's uncles continually insist that he, too, has heart disease, he resolutely insists that he does not, and he eventually proves himself to be in good health.
- While making a series of boxing exhibitions, "Lightning" Bradley, the lightweight champion, is matched with Billy Morris in a small western town. Bradley knocks Billy out, and Billy, looking for a revenge rematch, follows the champ from town to town, taunting him and "getting his goat." Billy follows Bradley to Hollywood, where the champ is making a picture. Billy gets a chance to box Bradley before the cameras in what is expected to be a set-up, and knocks him out. Bradley's manager tries to stop the story from getting into the newspapers, but Billy outraces his thugs and breaks the news. He also wins Virginia Avery, the star of the film.
- A gangster falls in love with the daughter of a former colleague who has quit the rackets. However, things aren't exactly what they appear to be.
- When Coast Guard Captain Tom Norris, at Point Lobos, Maine, save Natalie Aldridge from drowning, a romance blossoms much to the dislike of Carlton Aldrich, Natalie's uncle, who wishes her to marry Lonsdayle. In spite of her uncle, Natalie and Tom are married and live in a small cottage near the Coast Guard station, and Aldridge ignores them. Tom is assigned to capture the oyster pirates and does so, but the pirate leader escapes and plans to keep Tom from testifying against his men by kidnapping Natalie. (This film, and a few other Paul Gerson films, were never copyrighted.)
- A pearl stolen from an Indian idol results in nothing but trouble for its owner. After he receives death threats by note pinned to a dagger, he decides to gather his relatives in his old mansion for a reading of his will. Unfortunately, the family members are being mysteriously bumped off one by one. The butler and an heiress set out to discover what's going on.
- Thrill-seeker Billy Smith joins a tent show and meets aspiring novelist Tena Lucian in a small Kentucky town. Because her mother, Widow Lucian, requires an operation to restore her sight, Billy agrees to fight heavyweight boxer Slugger Sampson, who is offering $500 to anyone who can remain in the ring with him for three rounds. Although Slugger's fights are fixed, the town sheriff outsmarts the boxer by insisting on holding the money until the end of the bout. Billy wins the fight, along with the prize money and Tena's love.
- A college band performs in a speakeasy, where a raid results in the expulsion of the bandleader, but later he manages to land a Broadway gig.
- William Ignatius Newton, a charmingly worthless young man, inherits a car, a dime, and a valet from his millionaire father, then sets out to learn about life. However, the elder Newton is still alive and has commissioned female detective Hazel Dawn to monitor William's activities, in the hope that the experience will make a man of him. When William decides to incorporate himself, criminals Tombstone Reilly and Obituary Blake, who know the truth about Mr. Newton, attempt to become majority stockholders. However, they encounter fierce competition from an aging spinster, who hopes to land a young husband. Upon learning of his father's deceit, William embarks on a series of misadventures as he and Hazel attempt to outwit their adversaries. William emerges victorious after a fight on the roof of a fifteen-story building.
- Twin sisters, one good and honest and sweet, and the other given to totin' pistols and pulling robberies, keep confusing a detective about which one he his chasing for what, since he has different reasons for chasing both.
- A war veteran gets a job on a ranch, but the foreman takes a dislike to him because the owner's daughter falls for him. Things start to look bad for the new cowboy when a calf is found shot dead and he is suspected of doing it, and a letter arrives for him from a woman claiming to be his abandoned wife.
- Safe-cracker Ned Dugan agrees to perform one last robbery, earning him enough money to move his younger brother, Jimmy, out of the city. At the behest of a crooked politician, Ned attempts to steal valuable papers from the home of Mary Callahan, who, coincidentally, is caring for the injured Jimmy. Mary catches Ned in the act, but she refrains from calling the police. Ned repays Mary by abandoning his life of crime, undermining the politician, getting her father out of jail, and saving her impressionable brother from a blackmailer.

- In a plot to take control of the Lazy Y ranch, which holds water rights to the local area, a rancher kidnaps the Lazy Y owner's daughter. The ranch foreman manages to eventually foil the plot and get the girl.
- Wes Channing comes along and joins with rancher Rufe Sims and his daughter Mary in a three-cornered fight against a despicable gambler, Flash Denby, a crooked assayer, Mark Newman, and an outlaw gang trying to take away from the rancher his property that has a gold mine on it.
- Tip O'Neil is the livest wire on the Herald's staff. He has gathered evidence against Logan - head of the Titanic Construction Co., and Dan Macey, a politician. Dan calls on Inspector Murphy of the Police Department, and warns him to "lay off." While in the Inspector's office Dan sees Ruth, the girl that Tip loves, at the safe where the evidence is placed. Dan goes to Rita who owns a Beauty Shoppe and is his "sweetie" and they plot to use a girl, Sophie, who closely resembles Ruth to get the evidence. Dan takes the evidence from Rita but she swears to get even. Inspector Murphy suspects Ruth of the loss of evidence. Tip believes otherwise. He becomes acquainted with Rita and learns where the evidence is kept. While in Dan's house he battles Dan's gang - he hears that Ruth is held captive on a boat - he escapes the gang and rescues Ruth. The Inspector goes to Dan's house but Dan has burned the envelope containing the evidence. Tip rushes in and takes the real evidence from under the carpet beside safe. Dan and his aids are arrested.

- A very sick Mrs. Worth is hoping her missing son Roger would return. Seeing how the Kansas Kid closely resembles Roger he gets the Kid to pose as him. His plan is the get the Worth ranch. Then complications arise when the Kid refuses to go through with the deal and the real Roger Worth arrives.
- Alice Culhane is a brassy Klondike dance-hall girl with a heart of gold is pursued by such ardent flirting swains as Steve Farrell and Chappie Evans. Alice plays her cards well.
- Alice, Julius, and one other character are in a combined auto/horse race. Julius gets off to a bad start when his car takes off, without him, in the wrong direction; it takes him a while to get it straightened out. Alice and the bad guy battle a bit for the lead, which Alice takes; they pass a detour, which the bad guy changes the sign for. Julius, taking the bad road, eventually drives up a cliff and, after a mighty struggle at the top, makes it, in third place, to the changeover. Alice and the bad guy ride off on horses; Julius has a wind-up wooden horse. Julius' horse keeps breaking down, eventually losing the back legs (Julius uses an empty thought balloon to hold up the rear). Alice's horse jumps a fence, and won't continue. The bad guy looks like he'll win, but Alice makes a mighty leap and knocks him off to win the race.
- Writer Jerry Logan, who specializes in potboiler stories about sailors and seafaring, has actually never been on board a ship in his life. He decides one day to give it a try. He meets two sailors who tell him a completely made-up story about buried treasure, in order to get him to charter the boat of a financially struggling young girl they know. He hires a crew of tough sailors and sets sail to find the "treasure", but winds up having a lot more "adventure" than he was looking for.
- Mike O'Malley, a young mechanic who has invented a special fork for motorcycles, has neither the money or influence to market the device. When he learns that a large cash prize will be awarded to the winner of a cross-country motorcycle race, Mike decides to enter. Mike wins the contest and the affection of his sweetheart.
- Outlaw "Dutch" Haynes is extorting money from the ranchers by threatening to blow up the dam that keeps the valley from flooding. To get to that point, Haynes, and his henchmen, have also practiced a little kidnapping, highway robbery, and all-around general connivery. But cowhand James Murdock has been on hand to stop the anti-social behavior, and looks to do so again regarding blowing up the dam.
- Learning his father's railroad business from the ground up, layabout Leonard Hathaway undertakes to win a large ore-hauling contract by making his the company with the fastest train. No trick is overlooked by the villain, Thomas Webber, but the hero thwarts his opponents and proves himself worthy.
- An indulgent father, a hair-brained flapper (played by Edna Murphy), a villainous owner of the local dive, and a newspaper editor (played by Bryant Washburn) enact this story of the younger generation. Suspecting something worthwhile beneath her blonde curls, the newspaperman falls in love with the girl and gets involved in some wild parties. The couple is lured into a roadhouse on the night of a long-expected raid, her father is killed, and the editor is convicted and sentenced to death in the electric chair. Through the girl's efforts, the governor grants a stay of execution, and all ends happily.
