- Madeleine is a South Korean movie released in 2003. The story follows the lives of two girls living together and their separate love lives as they struggle to find and maintain their new relationships. The movie mainly focuses on pretty girl Lee Hee-Jin (Shin Min-a). Hee-Jin is a hair stylist working at a salon when she meets an old classmate from junior high school. Kang Ji-Suk (Jo In-Seong) meets up with Hee-Jin when he arrives at her salon for a hair cut. The pair ends up deciding to try dating for a month to see how things go. All goes well in the beginning until Ji-Suks first love shows up. Sung-Hae (Ham Eun-Jeong) invites Ji-Suk over to a reunion party with their old junior high school friends. Hee-Jin ends up tagging along. But she feels excluded and uncomfortable while Ji-Suk and Sung-Hae are hitting it off. At the reunion Hee-Jin finds out that Ji-Suk lied to Sung-Hae when he told her that he did not have a girlfriend. Hee-Jin gets angry at Ji-Suk and walks off on him. She soon finds out that she in pregnant with her ex-boyfriends child. But decides to have the baby anyway. Hee-Jin confesses to Ji-Suk the truth. He comes to slowly accept the news. But Hee-Jins roommate Yoo-Jung (Kang Rae-Yeon) tries to talk her out of having the baby. The two roommates get in a fight and Yoo-Jungs hidden jealousy comes out in the open. Meanwhile Yoo-Jung was struggling to capture the attention of men, Hee-Jins beauty always prevented her from getting a boyfriend. The two friends soon forget about their fight and decide to get along. Out of concern for her friend, Yoo-Jung decides to contact Hee-Jins ex-boyfriend. Hee-Jins ex shows up and demands her to get an abortion. But she refuses and lies that it wasnt his child. She ends up walking in the streets in the rain. But she falls sick and has to be rushed to the hospital. Hee-Jin later discovers that she had a miscarriage. Ji-Suk and Yoo-Jung stick with through the process. The film ends with Hee-Jin and Ji-Suk getting back together. And Yoo-Jung gets married to a coworker.
