The twin juniors among his three stepsons claim he murdered their ma, aided by his pregnant mistress and business partner Martine. She soon after drowns in Goedleven's villa pool, which he suggests to be the twins' doing. Roos digs in Camiel's dirty war past.

Roos soon discovers the housekeeper was lying to, but she suffers the same fatal fate. The team unearths a crucial secret Cas shared with his university study mates, contractor Bo Beirnarts and their lawyer Alex Wildiers, who actually are linked by more crimes. Then Marijke is kidnapped.
- When Roos enjoys another evening off at the theater, the play is canceled because of a murder his team immediately investigates. It soon turns out the company was a viper nest of rivalries and spite. The murder served several motives, and other crimes were committed. The killer is prepared to hit again.
- After Heloise Vandermeersch's death on the Costa Blanca (Spain) by a fatal fall from the rocks Harold Swinnen, her compatriot hotel neighbor, Isabel Forton, claims it was the doing of a third Belgian, Harold Swinnen. Given his suspicious behavior, disastrous divorce, financial ruin and criminal record, Herman and Mieke believe it's a matter of breaking him. Roos however uses his Spanish connections to find out the complicated truth.

When Berthe is found poisoned, the domestic is suspected as she scolded him threatening to scrap her from the will, but it's his bright boy who confesses the murder. Roos finds this a most instructive error and and works on Amanda finding out an old family secret with a bright and a dark side leading to the surprising truth.
- Roos's team investigates a break-in in a rural parish church and the disappearance of its sacristan Jozef. They soon discover it's about art theft, and notably the secret switching with a clever fake of a historical, according to devotees, miraculous wooden Madonna. Roos traces the forger Van Geysel and his fencing connection in the antiques business, but they dare use violence against him too.
- Roos initially is skeptical when a teacher claims her colleague's drowning was murder. After forensics confirm his car was sabotaged, he investigates the school. It soon appears he had many enemies amongst the pupils and fellow staff, so there's no shortage of motives.

- In the tourist fake Wild West town El Paso, generally hated Ivan Donckers is shot. Shortly after, well-loved mild drunk Alfred Meesenis is found hanging, apparently suicide. Roos's detective trio finds all staff and guests had motives, but who actually killed who?
- Roos's team responds to a neighbor's call about a crime in a villa. There Mr. Vandezijpe assures them there is no trouble, just the annual general assembly of the international coffee corporation which owns the villa. Snooping around, they soon find the trace of the disappearance of handicapped caretaker Maurice Sercu and several serious crimes linked to the mirky firm.
- After broke baron Xavier is fatally stabbed, his rich father in law spontaneously confesses: he wanted to stop the squanderer ruin the future of his beloved grandson Erik, neglected by Xavier and abandoned by his adulterous mother Yvette, another squanderer. Roos soon finds the terminally ill castle-owner couldn't wield the dagger, he admits his daughter also wanted the baron dead. Then Yvette reports her lover Willy, a former mercenary, was shot. Herman finds the gravely wounded victim of a deliberate car crash is young Eric. Yvette explains how Xavier used Erik in diamond smuggle to pay for his gambling.
- Roos doubts every obvious suspect's motives. Instead he concentrates on the car used for the murder on Yvette's lover Willy and the attack on her young son Erik, speculating the diamond smuggle is the link. Forensics show it was the same Jaguar, which a teacher's good eye for license plates allows to trace to businessman Sterckens, who reported it stolen and suggests his servant used it in his absence.
- Despite his cold, Herman must grumpily help Roos on Christmas Eve to investigate the death of a hospital patient Dandois following an injection. He and his partner in the Antiques business, Mullie, were badly wounded in a car accident. Roos finds out the abusive Dandois' wife was having an affair with Mullie, who in turn discovered his diamond smuggling. Next he finds Dandois used bribery and blackmail to satisfy his morphine addiction.
- A heroin addict/prostitute is strangled by a client she verbally abuses. The case seems hopeless as the killer left only a strange hat. However vague descriptions and his smell help Roos's team work out the trace leads to the porcine business. There are also anonymous tips. Or isn't that the right track?
- While rich art collector Roger Vaernewyck entertains various guests, the domestic staff finds him cruelly asphyxiated by plastic bag, in bed. Because of the guard dogs nobody could leave the estate until a vet tranquilizes them. While everyone is suspected, Roos, who suffers bowls trouble, contemplates a common colonial past with Roger and follows his own deductions.
- Daisy interrupts her romantic dinner with forensic photographer Filip to dig deeper into the apparently mute case of businessman Pierre Landers. He is found dead from cardiac arrest in an abandoned villa, but his spectacles and wallet are missing. Roos ends up allowing her to drag Herman from his kid Kevin's birthday party as the trail leads to adolescent publicity deliverer Erik and the couple Rudy and Tessie Wouters, whose role is unclear. More crimes are waiting to happen.

Shortly after she survives a stabbing unlike her husband Jan, who had an affair with shrink Chantal. Herman believes it's not about infidelity but the computer firm Jan co-founded with Karel. More crime follows, Roos ties the knots.
- When expensive race bicycles get stolen from the members of a local club, the president appeals to his personal friend Roos to investigate. He sends both inspectors undercover, but they fail to prevent the next theft. Alas the inside job has wide ramifications, and other crimes follow, including violent ones.
- After Leentje Smolders (9) goes missing for a day, Roos sends his inspectors while he's babysitting his own godchild. They tend to believe the neighborhood, father Smolders lost custody after beating his wife. However his Bavarian alibi proves solid. The mother also was abroad, but has a secret lover. After the child's body is found, molested and strangled, Roos gets involved and sets a trap.
- Elvis-fanatic Marcel, the owner of a dancing-bar, is beaten to death with a baseball bat on Saturday evening before show-time. He was coaching preteen Nicolas for an Elvis playback contest. The boy's parents are afraid for abuse, as he repeatedly hit his mother, who cleans there. The father, travel agency employee Peter, is inspector Daisy's schooldays ex. Leo Verstraeten, the former owner and present caretaker-jazz musician, has a business grudge and found his cat killed.
