      - Obviously very disappointed that he and his cast headed by Harvey Keitel had not been winning the first place (aka Golden Palm) director Theo Angelopoulos told a shocked and suddenly silent audience "If this is what you have to give me, I have nothing to say." Andy Garcia, presenter for the award, didn't know what to do when the director went off stage without even pausing long enough for photos and followed Angelopoulos.
