Good God it's awful

This is bad. Terrible acting, stupid premise... there is no way people can "accidentally wander" anywhere near the exclusion zone. "Kate" is so bloody annoying I was hoping something would happen to her, but I couldn't sit through the crapfest long enough to find out.

I love this kind of stuff. A lot scarier than I thought it would be . And that railroad spike... that scene made Misery's hobbling scene look like a christening.

I really enjoyed this, which is surprising, because I'm not too keen on either Ashmore. Great job at keeping up the suspense, and I like where the storyline went. I guess my only would be why are Otto's pants ill-fitting? Sure, they'd be tattered and filthy, but surely he had clothes that fit when he moved down there?

That was NOT good.

Warning: Spoilers
Way too slow, no tense build-up leading to the action, and very predictable, in spite of Tyler's clever (insert eyeroll) fakeout. As for the final twist, no clue whatsoever is given to show what links Reed to the killers.

The only reason I didn't shut it off after 40 minutes of nothing happening is because I was too lazy to start a new movie, and the only reason I even gave 2 stars was because some of the acting was decent.

42 minutes in and I gave up. Life is too short and I have too many other movies on my watchlist to make it to the end of this crapfest.

I figured out what was going on with the neighbors early on because Harold dresses like an old man and Francine at one point called Rebecca "a dear". My grandma does that.

Omg bad!

So bad... the story might work if it wasn't for all the glaring inconsistencies and ho-hum acting. Another hour and a half wasted.... it's a good thing I don't have a life.

Waste of time

Ridiculous and slow, literally all the action is in the last 20 minutes, and it's not even good stuff at that. The first 80 minutes are pointless.

I LOVED the original, and I just finished watching the "third season". It was great, but I'm so confused... WHYYY are there even more unanswered questions than at the end of the "first two seasons"? Well I'm not sleeping tonight... I'll be too busy finishing all the unresolved storylines in my head! Ps. I'm happy with Dougie's story ends =)

Waste of time

I enjoy Jack Ketchum's books and movie adaptations, so I had high hopes for this movie even though it's only based on character that he created. It was a big disappointment. The acting, the plot, the factual errors... it couldn't have been worse if it was made by 6th graders. Pollyanna should leave the writing and directing to those who can and just stick to acting. On the other hand, maybe she should just get a job

Omg....

Warning: Spoilers
There were moments when I wasn't sure about this one, because I thought some details were going to be left out. But they managed to tie up all the loose ends. There are a few jump scares, but the movie doesn't rely solely on that for suspense. There's a creepy atmosphere about the house that's almost tangible so that even in happy moments there is tension building. What could be scarier than an unknown stalker with a personal vendetta?... and one who has access to your home at that. The acting is surprisingly good by all (with the possible exception of the shrill Francine) but Mikey... ahem I mean Michael was top notch. Now excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor from that twist ending... I never saw that coming!

Seriously?
28 November 2016
I usually like low budget, independent films, but the only good thing about this movie was the awesome 80's music and the 80's vibe I got from it. I actually found myself forgetting that it wasn't made in the 80's. But that might be because the acting was about what you'd expect from an 80's flick. This is not a good thing. This is not a good film.

The premise sounds good, but in reality, it felt empty, amateurish, and quite frankly, just fell flat. With no back story, or any kind of intro to lead us into the whole satanic sacrifice thing, it just came off as a project whipped up at the last minute by a failing film student. And a lazy one at that.

It was too slow paced with too many drawn out mundane scenes which didn't work for the plot. Speaking of plots, the ending had a plot hole bigger than the hole in Megan's face
