A Great Series for those ancient giants of old.
29 May 2000
This BBC series is excellent. I am no Paleontologist, but this series gives the best historical representation of dinosaurs I have ever seen. The 3D animation and animatronics are very good and make you believe you have travelled back in time. The BBC deserves a pat on the back for such a fine series as well as Tim Haines who must have spent a great deal of time getting this series to air.

A wonderful spoof of sci-fi series and their fans
29 May 2000
I thought this film would be a waste of time but I was way wrong. This film is very funny and even a bit dramatic at times. The storyline of some sci-fi series actors having to play their on-screen parts for real was original and very entertaining. I am a scf-fi fan and could appreciate how the film showed the lives of type-cast actors and actresses in a fun way. Isn't just ashame that Star Trek is not for real or is it????

A Great Family Film about a boy struggling to become an artist.
29 May 2000
This was a great film that the whole family can enjoy. It reminds us that not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouth even though they may possess a great talent. The story is of course dramatic and is about a boy's struggle to become an artist even when faced with obstacles of a financial and personal nature. Warner Brother's deserves a thumbs up for this fine film.

A great prequel to the Star Wars Epilogue
29 May 2000
This long-awaited prequel to the Star Wars Epilogue was very good. The only problem is too much time was spent on special effects and not enough on character development. It would have been interesting to have seen this movie done in the late 70's or early 80's. None the less, if you are a Star Wars fan, this movie helps complete the story of the Skywalker family and is a must see.

The tradition continues
31 December 1999
Although I am an adult now, I still remember the Muppet Show and all the zany characters. It is good to see that the magic is still alive. Kids these day may not appreciate all the human energy and effort that go into a muppet presentation in today's techno computer age. My generation that grew up with Sesame Street knows better. This movie is great for kids of all ages. Well done Mr. Henson.

Too many special effects, not enough acting
11 December 1999
I believe this remake of a classic TV series could have been much better if less special effects had been used and the villain was more human and less mechanical. Give the actors a chance to act as opposed to just responding to special effects. The general rating of 4 stars out of 10 is on the mark.

Great Animated Story not from Disney
25 November 1999
The Iron Giant is a great animated story suitable for kids of all ages. It has a strong moral message yet is fun and entertaining. I think it captured the paranoia of the early cold war (late 50's) quite well that only the adults would appreciate. I give the movie 10 out of 10 stars.

Disappointing Disney Remake
7 November 1999
If this movie had not been labeled a Disney picture, I probably would not have been so disappointed. The nudity was unnecessary and did not add anything. The same can be said for the toilet bowl scene. This is one Disney film that I will not let my four year old nephew watch.
