The wait for more adventures and drama for one Emily Cooper will end this summer. Season 4 of the soapy Netflix series has been split into two parts like other tentpole shows for the streamer such as Bridgerton Season 3, Stranger Things Season 4 and more.
The Lily Collins-led series launched on Netflix on October 2, 2020 to much success. After Season 2’s release in December 2021, the show earned a double renewal for Seasons 3 and 4. Season 3 debuted in the second slot in the Netflix Top 10 after its arrival on Dec. 21, 2022.
Netflix released first look photos for the upcoming installment of the European-set comedy in early June, teasing dynamics between Emily and Gabriel, Emily and Alfie, Emily and Mindy, Emily and Camille and more.
Those on the edge of their seats after last season’s chaotic cliffhanger ending and curious about the next installment’s release date, cast and more can read on for details.

Emily, Mindy, Gabriel, Camille, Sylvie, Luc, Julien and — yes — Alfie are all back in Emily in Paris‘ season four first-look images.
The Netflix series will premiere in two, five-episode installments, with part one being released on Aug. 15 and part two on Sept. 12. It joins another of the streamer’s recent shows to be split into two parts: Bridgerton season three.
Emily in Paris season four picks up after the dramatic events of Camille (Camille Razat) and Gabriel’s (Lucas Bravo) wedding, with Emily (Lily Collins) reeling as she has strong feelings for two men: Gabriel and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), according to Netflix. But with Gabriel expecting a baby with Camille and Alfie’s worst fears coming to life about Emily and Gabriel, things are not ideal for the main character.

Bridgerton season three part two has mostly been kept under wraps, but that didn’t stop Shonda Rhimes from teasing fans about what they can expect in the upcoming episodes.
The executive producer stopped by the Today show on Tuesday, where she chatted about the final episodes of the season, which drops on Netflix June 13.
“We’re very secretive about it but I will say it is sexy and surprising in many ways,” Rhimes revealed. “And also, I cried at the end. I found it very moving — and I don’t always cry. So I really got into it. I think it’s a beautiful story.”

After staying in the shadows for a while, Benedict Cumberbatch is back to the small screens with a leading role in Netflix’s brand new thriller miniseries Eric, and fans were quick to prove that the actor had been dearly missed.
Released on May 30, Eric needed only a few days to enter Netflix’s global top 10 chart, dethroning the streaming’s recent big hit, Bridgerton. According to IMDb data from the past week, the new Netflix series "Eric" was the most popular title on the site. The disturbing thriller—which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as a grieving father and puppeteer—has had sustained interest since its May 30th premiere, thanks to its polarizing effect on audiences, in addition to strong central performances by Cumberbatch and Gaby Hoffman (more on her later).
‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ was the top movie among IMDb users last week, despite the fact that it was outperformed at the box office by both ‘The Garfield Movie’ and John Krasinski’s ‘IF’ during these sluggish early days of the 2024 summer movie season.
Gaby Hoffman was the top name on the site last week, thanks to her performance as Cassie Anderson in the aforementioned “Eric.” Hoffman started as a child actress in films like ‘Field of Dreams’ and ‘Uncle Buck,’ but is more recently known for her role as Ali Pfefferman on Prime Video’s “Transparent,” a role that earned her two Emmy nominations. Other top names last week were Morena Baccarin, who celebrated a birthday and stars in the upcoming ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ Nicola Coughlan of “Bridgerton” fame, and Anya Taylor-Joy of ‘Furiosa.’
Kaiju fans are also stomping over to IMDb to learn more about ‘Godzilla Minus One,’ which just landed on Netflix. The Oscar-winning Japanese film was a surprise hit, and movie fans who missed the theatrical run have been patiently waiting for a streaming release. The movie premiered way back in October 2023, an eternity in the streaming age.
Finally, horror aficionados are keeping the conversation around ‘The First Omen’ alive now that the prequel has arrived on Hulu. The spike in interest is no surprise after the film’s successful theatrical run, good word of mouth from critics and audiences, and a strong central performance from Nell Tiger Free. Could ‘The Second First Omen’ be on the table? Fingers crossed.

The Netflix Tom Brady roast caused quite the splash and the streamer’s Co-CEO Greg Peters was delighted.
Peters used the comedy event as a key example of Netflix “adding more aspect to our offering” since the subscriber shock in 2022 that led to major questions around the streamer’s viability.
“[Events like The Roast of Tom Brady] can drive huge viewing and an even bigger conversation,” he told the Deloitte and Enders Media & Telecoms 2024 and Beyond Conference in London this morning.
The Brady roast caused a stir. A number of jokes were deemed to have crossed the line and Kim Kardashian, who used to date the star, was booed. Brady has since said that he regrets taking part because of the impact on his children.
Peters, who became Co-CEO 18 months ago, also flagged the upcoming Netflix WWE coverage along with the Queen’s Ball immersive experience for smash regal drama Bridgerton as examples of Netflix adapting, having...

Benedict Cumberbatch’s new six-part series that follows a desperate father in search of his missing son is now dominating Netflix’s global chart, topping even the hyped third season of Bridgerton. It proves people’s never-ending interest in chilling crime stories.
Here are 5 miniseries that are similar to Eric and available for streaming on Netflix too.
1. Safe (2018)
This British miniseries is reminiscent of Eric more than others, as it also follows a father who has his child vanished from home. The show is led by the Dexter star, Michael C. Hall, who portrays a widowed surgeon whose daughter is missing.
Just like Eric, it blends a dark mystery story, full of intrigue and deception, with deep psychological drama of the protagonist, who devotes himself entirely to searching for his closest person.
2. The Snow Girl (2023)

One of the biggest intrigues of Bridgerton is the order in which the show chose to tell the stories of the siblings. While some viewers might have expected the show to go from oldest to youngest, it never did, starting with the love story of Daphne, the 4th of 8 siblings, which is exactly how Julia Quinn's novel series began.
Another logical approach would have been to follow the order of the books, and the show did that by continuing Anthony's story right after Daphne's. However, the order was changed again when the 4th book, Romancing Mr. Bridgerton, was adapted into the third season. Now that viewers are completely confused, all they can do is guess who's going to be next.

Netflix and Shondaland has released the trailer for part two of the third season of ‘Bridgerton.’
The first half, which was released on May 16, 2024, scored the largest debut in the series’ history, garnering over 41M views in the first four days, and follows the love journey of Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). The first four episodes of Bridgerton season three are now streaming, and part two, with the final four episodes of the season premieres on June 13, 2024.
The third season finds Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) having finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing his disparaging words about her last season. She has, however, decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters.

“Bridgerton” Season 3 might not have reached the heights in viewership that Season 1 achieved, but it’s definitely still a big hit for Netflix. And much like other big hits, Netflix has split Season 3 into two parts. However, fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the story play out.

It’s been a long few weeks since the first part of Bridgerton Season 3 debuted on Netflix, sending fans into a frenzy over the romance between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). Although the second part doesn’t debut until June 13, at least we now have a trailer to tide us over.
In the clip, Colin and Penelope are engaged, much to the horror of Eloise and the delight of Portia. But drama is still afoot, especially since Penelope has not yet told Colin her big secret about being Lady Whistledown.

Attention, esteemed members of the ‘Ton: The official trailer for Bridgerton season three, part two is here, and it picks up mere seconds after the final moments of part one. (Spoilers ahead!)
“Dearest gentle reader, last night, an announcement came with great speed,” the Julie Andrews-voiced Lady Whistledown opens the trailer, as shots play of Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton) announcing the news of their engagement to the Bridgertons.
Over the course of the two-minute look at the upcoming episodes, Eloise (Claudia Jessie) struggles with the news that her brother and former best friend are engaged, considering she knows Pen’s big Whistledown secret and Colin does not. She even goes as far as to threaten to tell Colin the truth if Penelope refuses to do so herself.

“Bridgerton” cordially invites you to the wedding of Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). Or does it?
In the trailer for Season 3 – Part 2 of the smash hit Netflix series, Colin and Pen’s engagement is the talk of the town — but Penelope’s secret identity as the gossiping Lady Whistledown grows harder to silence by the minute. While lying to Colin eats away at her, there’s also Eloise (Claudia Jessie) to contend with, who issues an ultimatum: Pen must tell Colin the truth, or Eloise will do it herself.
Season 3 – Part 1 saw Colin and Penelope rekindle their friendship while helping her find a husband, only for a kiss to reveal Colin’s true feelings to himself. In the midseason finale, he tells Pen the truth before she can be betrothed to Lord Debling (Sam Phillips), culminating in the infamous carriage scene that arguably lit the internet on fire.

This article contains spoilers for Netflix’s Eric.
While Stranger Things has announced an animated spinoff and is gearing up for a fifth and final season, a new drama set in ‘80s America has hit Netflix. It’s got monsters, it’s got kids in peril, it’s got a bike and no mobile phones, and it couldn’t be more different.
Created and written by Abi Morgan who penned heart wrenching series River, as well as true life dramas The Iron Lady and Suffragette, Eric stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Victor, a puppeteer on a popular kids’ show whose son Edgar goes missing. He is convinced the way to bring his son home is to create a real life version of the monster Edgar was drawing and get it on the show. And thus Eric is born, both the life-sized suit for an actor to wear, and the darker figment...

Netflix’s list of new releases for June 2024 look suspiciously like last month’s.
That’s because the biggest item on the schedule is Bridgerton season 3 once again. The final four episodes of Bridgerton‘s third season will premiere on June 13. Polin fans everywhere, rejoice! Other TV items of note this month include the third and final season of Sweet Tooth (June 6), Worst Roommate Ever season 2 (June 26), and That ’90s Show Part 2 (June 28).
Bridgerton aside, Netflix’s original movie options this month might be even more impressive than the TV slate. Richard Linklater’s Hitman, which stars Glen Powell as the titular assassin, premieres on June 7. That will be followed by documentary Black Barbie on June 19, the Jessica Alba-starring Trigger Warning on June 21, and romcom A Family Affair on June 28
Here’s everything else coming to Netflix this month. Note that Netflix marks its international offerings with that respective country’s two-letter country code.

After “Bridgerton” dominated the top three spots on Luminate’s streaming rankings last week, the only TV title that could rival it was a complete change of pace from the high production value Regency-era drama: “Tires,” Shane Gillis’ self-funded half-hour comedy that premiered on May 23.
“Bridgerton” Season 3 of course still took the No. 1 position with 766.8 million minutes watched in its second full week of availability, coming out to an estimated 3.7 million views when divided by the 220-minute runtime of the four currently available episodes.
But “Tires” beat Season 1 and 2 of “Bridgerton,” landing at No. 2 with 447.8 million minutes watched. Divided by its 135-minute runtime, that translates to 3.3 million views — not far behind “Bridgerton” Season 3 at all. Season 2 took third place place with 394.2 million minutes watched while Season 1 took fourth place with 391.6 million minutes watched.
“Jurassic World: Chaos Theory” had its chart debut at No. 5 with 298.1 million minutes watched in its first week of availability.

While fans have gone wild over the Pitbull cover in “Bridgerton” Season 3’s climactic carriage scene, showrunner Jess Brownell admitted she was “nervous” to see the audience response.
“I picked the Pitbull song and I was a little nervous, because it’s an unusual choice that it might take people out of the scene,” Brownell told TheWrap. “But it’s been so wonderful to see that people have taken to it, that actually it’s given that scene even more depth.”
Brownell added that she knew the carriage scene — which features a steamy, intimate moment between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) after Colin confesses his romantic feelings for his longtime friend — was strong, admitting she “had a good feeling that people were going to respond to it.”

After keeping loyal readers waiting for two years, Lady Whistledown finally made her return in season three of Netflix’s smash hit regency romance ‘Bridgerton.’ Each season follows the love story of one of the Bridgerton children, based on the eight-book series by Julia Quinn. The title ‘Bridgerton’ has become synonymous with steaminess and scandal, with the first season being labeled as a “bodice ripper” with many passionate love scenes between its leads, Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Regé-Jean Page). Season two lightened up a bit with the enemies-to-lovers arc between the eldest Bridgerton son, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley), the sister of his betrothed. So, where does season three lie? It seems to be too soon to say. Only the first four episodes of ‘Bridgerton’ season three dropped on May 16, with the second half coming almost a month later on June 13. Wallflower Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlin) is...

Tires had a promising debut weekend on Netflix.
Shane Gillis’ comedy series landed on the platform May 23, racking up 3.8M views in its first few days. That was good enough for seventh place on the streamer’s English-language TV charts.
Tires had some tough competition, as Bridgerton Season 3 had premiered with its first four episodes the week prior. Lady Whistledown was taking over the ton, once again, and all three seasons of the Shonda Rhimes series as well as prequel Queen Charlotte were on the list. Baby Reindeer is still making noise for the streamer as well, landing at No. 5 last week.
But, Tires was still tracking ahead of Bridgerton Season 3 on Netflix’s daily Top 10 throughout the weekend, indicating that the comedy series has the potential to gain much more traction. That means it is likely to grow its audience and possibly move its way up the Top 10 in the weeks to come.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Bridgerton Season 3 Part 1.] Bridgerton‘s third season may still be ongoing as fans await Part 2’s arrival, but it’s clear that this latest chapter has already broken the formula previously explored in past seasons with the main couple — Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton), a.k.a. Polin — declaring their love for one another before the second half of the season. While some fans have voiced their feelings about the quick turnaround in the couple’s romance, it’s a stretch to suggest it was rushed. Unlike previous seasons, there was no need to build a dynamic between Colin and Penelope as they’ve existed together in this TV universe since Season 1. Unlike the romances between Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Regé-Jean Page), and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley), both Colin and Penelope have a years-long friendship by the start of Season 3, making the seemingly quick...

Netflix viewers are still falling for Penelope and Colin’s love story.
Season 3, Part 1 of Bridgerton remained atop the Netflix Top 10 TV charts last week, after posting impressive debut weekend viewership. In its first full week on the streamer, those four episodes tallied 25.3M views.
While that’s considerably down from the week prior, it was enough to hold onto No. 1 on the English-language TV list.
However, second place is perhaps the most notable this week, as that spot went to Bridgerton Season 1. Already one of Netflix’s most-watched series of all time, the first season of Bridgerton amassed another 6.4M views last week.
Whether audiences were refreshing themselves before jumping into Season 3, or they were revisiting the previous seasons to hold themselves over until Part 2 drops on June 13, the buzz around the series also sent Season 2 to No. 4 with 5.3M views.

Jennifer Lopez’s “Atlas” was the most-watched title on Netflix for the week of May 20-26, reaching 28.2 million views in its first three days of availability. The movie stars Lopez in the title role as she investigates a fugitive AI terrorist played by Simu Liu.
The next-most-watched title, which unsurprisingly led the week’s TV chart, was “Bridgerton” Season 3, which hit 25.3 million views in Part 1’s first full week of availability. That’s a decrease from the 45.1 million views the season reached in its debut weekend, and Netflix’s biggest titles do tend to increase in viewership the first weeks after their openings, but in this case, the decrease is expected. As only four episodes are currently available, clocking in at a total of 3 hours and 40 minutes, it was easier for viewers to complete their binges upon release than with previous seasons, where all eight episodes have dropped at once.

While many factors contribute to the overwhelming success Bridgerton has had over the years, one of the most important is the show's appeal to female audiences. Whether you believe in the power of the ‘female gaze’ or not, the way Bridgerton handles romantic dialogue and steamy scenes has a lot to do with its ratings.
Another very important thing is the attractiveness of the male leads. The more viewers are attracted to the main couple, the more willing they are to root for their happy ending. This attraction is also an ultimate factor in choosing your favorite couple. Even Shonda Rhimes, the mastermind behind the show, has her own thoughts on Bridgeton's perfect man.
Shonda Rhimes’ Favorite Bridgerton

She steps into the spotlight after the role was inherited from Ruby Stokes, promising a nuanced and enduring journey that could very well surpass her sister Daphne’s arc. Daphne’s Absence Leaves a Gap Phoebe Dynevor’s absence as Daphne Bridgerton—Simon’s stunning and intelligent wife—obviously affects the narrative’s progression. Her presence was a cornerstone in the first season. Without her, the show’s dynamic shifts significantly.
