Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • The movie has scenes that portray autopsies or dissections of cadavers being done, generally filmed from several feet away, not from above; I don't recall any close-ups. Some would label that "gore."

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • In a scene where Ishi's history is being recalled, it shows Ishi and family members in the forest, scrambling over rocks, being hunted by armed hunters with dogs. This event-scene was how Ishi came to be alone, when one of Ishi's family members was killed and the other died as a result.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scene where Ishi and family were running from the hunters that killed some of them, was intense.
  • When Ishi was first discovered (at the beginning of the film), viewers may feel fear not knowing how the discoverers will treat Ishi. It is a suspenseful scene, but Ishi isn't harmed.
