- American editor and director, a graduate of Ohio University. Began his career in his family's restaurant business, before moving to Hollywood in 1937. The following year he joined 20th Century Fox as editor and worked on several classic films. He remained with the studio until 1961, from the mid-50's doubling up as a director of youth-oriented features and episodic television.
